Devon pressed the glowing red button and the elevator clammered and shook, before descending. Kalu gripped my arm.

"I'm scared." She whispered.

"Just don't let anyone know that." Said Payne. "These people feed off fear. It's an opportunity to strike  for them."

Kalu nodded and the remainder of the ride was met with silence, other than the low buzzing of the elevator itself. Soon, I felt a change in atmospheric pressure. We were well below sea level at this point. Underground. About a minute later, the back of the elevator became transparent. There she was; Thessix, the City of Sins. Huge buildings with all black exteriors and yellow tinted windows lined the streets like black cats; Their glowing yellow eyes only proved to make the city seem more ominous. Neon lights illuminated parts of the smog ridden sky. There was no sunlight, only the occassional flash of lightning that lived in the dark clouds above.

The elevator came to an abrupt halt, shaking it's contents. After losing balance, I stumbled to the door and waited patiently for it to open. It clamored and slid open and we all piled out. Cars floated above the ground. They hovered just enough for the air from their systems to blow around paper and other trash that decorated the damp city streets.

"Flying cars? How come I haven't seen them anywhere else?" Said Kalu.

"Different cities have different cultures." I explained. "Thessix is dangerous, but also technologically advanced. They have their own law system as well."

"So, it's like a state?"

Devon nodded. "Yes, like a state."

We started walking, careful to cross the street only when necessary.

"Thessix is a huge city." Said Payne. "We may need to spend the night here."

"Is that completely necessary?" Asked Sera, who looked out of place with her white garments and flowing blond hair.

"It may be." Said Devon. "We need to rest."

"Fine." Said Sera. "But we must restock on supplies while we're here."

"I'll hit up the local bar and see what information I can get on a place to stay." Said Roxy.

I glared at her.

"Devon, Reuben, go with her. Sera, Payne, Kalu, and Isaiah come with me." I nodded toward the stores that lined the streets. "We'll meet across the street from the bar."

We all exchanged nods and split up.

Roxy, Devon and Reuben headed into the bar. More neon lights and half-naked dancers and waitresses greeted them. Roxy made a bee-line for the bar.

"What can I get you?" The bartender flashed a charming smile.

"I just need some information actually." Roxy explained.

"Nothing in life is free, doll-face."

Roxy grunted. "I'll have a Dragonfire Margarita." The bartender chuckled. "Coming right up." She playfully mixed some liquids together and poured it in a fancy glass, before she slid it to Roxy. Devon put some Talvots on the counter.

"Now, where's a decent place to stay for the night?" He stood beside Roxy, his hand on her shoulder.

The bartender took the money and immediately shoved it in her cleavage. She then leaned over the counter, pushing her breasts up further.

"You could always stay at my place..." She winked at Devon.

"I'm serious." He spat.

"So am I." She smirked.
