Dinner

I feel I little weird about inviting Trevor to meet my parents, but they've been dying to meet him.
That's literally all they've been talking about since I said he was visiting Riverside.
The door bell rings and I know it's Trevor.
"Hi" I say after I open the door.
"Hey"
"Come on in!" I say cheerfully, as I open the door wider.
He looks around the room at our house. As if taking in every detail, the living room on the the right, just infront of the staircase kitchen to the left. Then turns to me.
"You have a nice house." I smile back at him.
"Thank you!" As if on cue my mom walks over to us.
"Hello!" She boasts.
"Hi Mrs. Hunter!" Trevor extends his hand toward my mother, which she gladly takes.
"Oh, please call me Clary"
"Well it's nice to meet you Clary!" My mother grins from ear to ear I can tell she's impressed by his manners.
"Here come with me!" She escorts him to our living quarters, with me trailing close behind "Would you like something to drink? We have Tea, coffee, root beer, Coca Cola.."
"Root beer would be great thanks!"
"Me to please!" She roles her eyes while existing the room.
"Your mom is really nice!" Trevor states when my mom is out of hearing range.
"She tries" I let a small giggle escape my lips.
The two of us continue talking until my mother returns. She hands us our drinks.
"We're having tacos tonight! I hope you like tacos!" My mother doesn't even need an answer since Trevor is clearly grinning.
"I'll take that as a yes then."
She exists.
"So you like tacos?"
"You watch O2L and don't know if I like tacos?" I raise my eyebrows at him in a questioning look. "I think I'll need to test you, to see if you are a true fan!"
We both laugh, we've had many conversations about how well I know O2L.

At about 5:30 we're called for dinner. Luke and my father come out from they're rooms at the smell of tacos.
"So this is the boy my sisters been talking about." I knew Luke would try to embarrass me. Luke extends his hand. Trevor takes it. "My names Luke."
"Trevor"
The rest of the evening goes great. Ever since I invited him over I was scared my family wouldn't like him, but now I'm starting to think they like him more then me.

Later trevor and I decide to watch a movie, so we head downstairs to our theatre room.
"What do you want to watch?" I ask politely.
We end up choosing "The Women in Black" which is a lot scarier then it sounds.
My breathing starts to pick up, my heart begins to race and I'm hoping Trevor can't hear me.
Slowly an arm wraps around my shoulders and I can't help but embrace it, so I rest my head on Trevor's shoulder and feel myself calming down.

When the movie ends I find myself stuck. Not because he's grasping me too tight, or I'm stunned from the movie, I just don't want to move. I like the warmth he's giving me, the safety, the stability.
Trevor helps me to stand and I wrap my arms around his waist.
"I should probably get going soon." He whispers in my ear. I ignore his comment and breathe in his sweet smell. Take in all I can of this moment.
I now know that I have feeling for this boy. The way he smiles, his laugh, his beautiful blue eyes, how he makes me feel. I could stay like this forever.
