Chapter one: Purple Storms

Jade's POV

"Jade Williams! Are you even listening to me?"

I looked up, I suddenly realised that I was not on a date with Zach Tevon, the hottest boy in year nine. I was in geography. Yawn.

"Jade! Do you know what's happening next Monday?"

"No, Mrs Heinz. I do not know what is happening next Monday."  Apart from I would have a boring day at school.  "Please tell me."

"Young lady! I will NOT being spoken to in that way! There is a test on the States of America I hope you have payed enough attention in the last five lessons of this class. If you have, then you will be able to pass. If not, I will be adding minutes to the after school detention that you have gained from your rudeness just now."

Oh God,  Monday. No, no, no! Not Monday! It's the night of the Avril Lavigne Concert! I bought those tickets with my Christmas and Birthday money! I keep my mouth shut and try not to cry.

Then I traipse home, feeling soooooooooooo stupid.

I get home just as it starts raining, no-one else is back so I go up to my room. The house is kind of eeire because there is no noise apart from my breathing and the rain outside. I quickly turn on the radio to drown the silence.

Then a huge rumble of thunder shakes the sky, and an indigo bolt of lightnight seems to appear out of nowhere. BANG! There is an enormous flash. I run to the window and realise that the lightning has hit the cherry tree in my back garden, and.. it is now on fire. 

Think, think, think Jade. I think to myself. The garage! That's it! The garage has a fire extingisher for electrical fires in it! (Probably because my dad sucks at electrics) I race down there and grab it off the holder thingy. Moments later I'm standing in the garden, covered in whatever was in that thing. The fire was out.

"Phew!" I say aloud. I begin to turn around and go back to the house but something catches my eye. I walk up to the smouldering remains of cherry tree and find, that inside the hollow stump, a glowing violet pebble lay there. I pick it up and suddenly feel weird. I have a massive headache and then.. then... everything goes fuzzy......and then black......

"WHERE THE HELL AM I????"
