Chris's POV:
I've been so worried about Auggie. She's been more depressed ever since Hannah and Beth went missing. I'm positive she was there to see what happened. She's never told anyone about what happened. Not even therapists could get it out of her. She has been so much more kept to herself. She's so sick. My parents and I try to help her but nothing works. I can't go to bed at night knowing she'll be alive when I wake up. I usually don't sleep. Instead, I check on her and fall asleep in her bed. She's so resentful to all the treatment she needs. It's like she wants to die, which Is why I'm so worried about her. I try to stay positive for her. It's so hard. She gets worse by the day. I'm silent on the walk up to the lift. When we get there,Sam is waiting for us. Her face lit up when she saw Auggie. They had been best friends since I can remember. Auggie tried her best to walk faster but then fell face first into the snow. I ran to her aid. She pushed me off. Sam ran over. "Ohmigosh are you ok?!" She asked with a worried look on her face. "I. Am. FINE." Auggie spoke. She had anger in her voice. When Auggie saw the look on Sams face she realized what she had said. She gasped. "Oh. My. Gosh. I'm so sorry!" Auggie said. Sam managed a smile. "It's ok shorty. No big deal." Sam helped Auggie up. We waited for the lift. When it got here we all got on. I helped Auggie on. It was silent on the way up so I decided to lighten the mood by telling my story about how Josh and I met. Auggie and Sam groaned at the mention of the story but I didn't listen. I proceeded to tell the story. "And I got moved to the back! BOOM. Butterfly Effect." I finished my story and Sam and Auggie clapped in their most dramatic clap they could. The lift stopped and we were off the lift. We tried to exit the small lift building.... But the door wouldn't open.
