I hold back my tears

So I can appear strong

I laugh when in pain

To mask that I'm torn

I say I'm not afraid

So I can belong

But today I can't hide it

My shield has withdrawn

I face that I'm human

As my heart shatters to the floor

Overwhelmed with emotions

Flowing through the open door

Everything hits fast

My mind is at war

I'm screaming for help

I can't hide anymore
