Part 6

A week later, school started again. I wasn't looking forward to it at all but I guess I had to deal with it. On the first Monday I somehow woke up before Luke.

"Oh Luuuukkkeeee..." I yelled from outside his bedroom door. A groan was all I got in reply. "Hurry up!" I said "Don't make me come in there.." No reply. "Okaay.."

I swung open the door to find Luke's bed completely empty.

"Luke?" I asked. Next thing I knew I felt someones hands jab into my waste. I screamed and turned to find Luke, fully dressed, rolling on the floor laughing. "That wasn't funny!" I yelled at him.

"Oh yes it was!" Luke said between laughs. "Your face was priceless! Did you honestly believe you could possibly wake up before me? Better luck next time sis." He said messing my hair up and walking out the door.

I followed him down and we walked to school together.

We arrived at school and say Michael and Ellie sitting under a tree making out and giggling. A few metres away we saw Calum waiting for us awkwardly. He looked up from his phone and saw us. Instead of smiling like he usually does, however, he took one look at me and quickly looked away.

We walked up to him "Hey Cal" Luke and I said at the same time.

"Hi" Calum said, looking only at Luke. We kept talking until the bell went and the whole time Calum wouldn't even look at me. 

I walked to science with Luke and Michael and Ellie and Calum went to their own classes. The teacher was talking about some boring sciency crap and I turned to Luke and Michael.

"Hey, has Calum been acting wierd with you two lately?" I whispered and they both shook their heads. 

"Charlie Hemmings" I heard the teacher say "I'm sorry, am I interupting your conversation?" I didn't say anything and just looked at him "that's what I thought, now, no talking or I'll send you to the principal." He turned back to the board to continue writing our task on the board. 

"What makes you think he's been acting wierd?" Luke whispered.

"I dunno" I whispered back "He wouldn't make eye contact or talk to me at all this morning, he's never like that!"

"Miss Hemmings" The teacher yelled "If you want to talk so much you can go have a chat with the principal, now" I grabbed my stuff and started walking to the principal. 

"Good luck" Luke whispered and I just smiled in responce.

I was walking around a corner when someone bumped into me, causing me to drop my books. I looked up and saw it was Calum.

"Sorry" he mumbled before picking up my stuff. He was about to walk off but I grabbed his arm to stop him.

"Calum what is going on?" I asked "You've been acting really wierd and I need to know, did I do something? Coz you won't talk or make eye contact with me and you're one of my best friends and I can't stand not talking to y-" I was cut off by his soft lips crashing onto mine. My eyes widened in shock from this sudden action but I liked it and kissed him back. After a few seconds I broke away and caught my breath.

"What was that about?" I asked, shocked.

"I wanted to do that for a while now" He said, looking at his feet.

"Well I have to go to the principal but we'll talk about this later ok?" I asked, he nodded. "Bye Cal" I smiled.
