After Luke's chat with his fan, we decided to do some Christmas shopping since Christmas was in like a week! I dragged Luke into Valley Girl to find something for Ellie.

"Do we have to?" Luke whined and I just glared at him.

"Yes," I replied, "now shush and we'll go to JB Hifi next." That made him look a little more excited I guess. I looked around for atleast 10 minutes and by then Luke was getting incredibly restless.

"Hurry up Charlie, just pick something, it's not that difficult," he whined again.

"It is difficult, Lucas. I have to find something perfect for Ellie," as I said this I noticed two all too famliar boys walking past the store.

"What's he doing here?" I said to myself, reffering to the brunette boy. Luke wasn't meant to hear, but of course he did. He looked at the door and noticed Michael and Calum as well. I quickly hid behind a clothes rack but just my luck Michael had seen Luke. Next thing I knew, they were walking into the shop to talk to Luke.

"Hey mate, what are you doing in here?" Michael asked Luke.

"Oh you know, getting in touch with my feminine side," Luke joked, winking. They all laughed.

"You should come down the beach with us later?" Calum asked, he still hadn't noticed me.

"I can't..." Luke began, "unless Charlie can come too."

Calum's face dropped when Luke said this. He obviously didn't want to spend any time with me.

"Oh, right... How is Charlie by the way?" Calum asked, he seemed genuiely concerned and that made me smile. Atleast he didn't completely hate me.

I felt like an absolute idiot for what I did to Calum. He was nothing but sweet and nice to me and I go ahead and kiss someone else. Remind me again why he ever liked me? I can't figure it out.

"She's pretty good actually, she's around here somewhere," Luke replied. Why he said that, I will never know.

"Oh," Calum said bitterly, "I guess she really doesn't care at all."

"Actually," I said loudly, moving out from behind the clothes rack, "I care alot. This is my first day out of the house for almost a week because I feel horrible for what I did. But obviously you can't get over yourself enough to realise how incredibly sorry I actually am," and with that, I ran out of the store, fighting to hold back my tears.

I ran around the corner and sat on a bench. My hands covered my face as tears spilled out everywhere. I'm not sure how much time passed before I heard my name.

I looked up slowly, wiping away tears with my hand, to see Ashton standing there with a boost juice in his hand.

"Did everyone decide to come here today or something?" I groaned.

Ashton looked confused but sat down next to me, "Charlie, what happened?" he asked.

"Stop being so nice to me," I whispered, "you should hate me like everyone else does."

"I could never hate you," Ashton said, almost shocked, "why would I hate you?"

"Because I kissed you," I continued to whisper, because I couldn't bring myself to speak properly.

Ashton let out a small laugh, "I kissed you, and that's not a reason for me to hate you at all!"

"It is when I had a boyfriend at the time," I pointed out.

Ashton looked away from me, deep in thought before looking back and replying, "I didn't mean to get between you and Calum, you need to know that. But I thought you liked me and I took an opportunity. In the moment I completely forgot you were even with Calum, and you can't deny the same thing happened to you."

I nodded because he was right, "I'm a horrible person."

"No you're not!" Ashton replied straight away, "you are a wonderful, beautiful, funny, adorable person who is obviously confused about who she really wants to be with. That's not a bad thing, but you can't have both. I'm sorry but you need to either choose one or the other, or neither. But just so you know, either way, I still want to atleast be your friend."

I looked into his eyes and noticed he was being completely honest and sincere. I smiled a little and put my hand over his.

"Do you really think I'm beautiful?" I asked, just because I wanted to hear him say it again.

Ashton grinned and nodded, "and wonderful and funny and adorable." I laughed a little as he put down his Boost Juice and used his now free hand to wipe away my tears that still ran down my cheeks, "you're too beautiful to be sitting on a bench in a shopping centre crying, that's for sure," he said with a smile, looking into my eyes.

I tried to keep eye contact but my eyes slipped down to his lips. Those full pink lips that I only got the tiniest taste of almost a week ago. I thought of Calum as I started to lean in ever so slightly, He's the one that said I didn't care... And we weren't together anymore, Calum had made that pretty clear. What harm would be done?

That was the last thing I thought as my lips connected with Ashton's. Our mouths moved together perfectly in sync. I moved my body closer to Ashton's without breaking the kiss and wrapped my arms around his neck. His arms wrapped around my back and pulled me as close as he could, as if he never wanted to let go. I thought Calum was a good kisser, well Ashton was amazing! I never wanted it to end. But it had to, as all things do. Ashton was the first to pull away, even though I could tell he didn't want to.

"Wow," he breathed, looking into my eyes.

"Yeah," I whispered with a small smile.

"So, what does this mean for us?" he asked.

I sighed, "I don't know."

"Okay," he said, moving his arms from around my waste.

"Wait, that's it? Just okay?" I asked.

"Well yeah," Ashton said, running his hand through his hair, "I don't know what else to say. I understand you're not over Calum yet, and you may not be for a while, but I'm always here if you need to talk," he paused and moved his face close to my ear, "or anything else," he pulled away and winked. I giggled a little as I stood up.

"That sounds great!" I said, a bit too enthusiastically which made Ashton laugh.

"I'm glad to hear that," Ashton said, still laughing a little. He stood up and planted a small kiss on my lips. "Would you like to hang out with me today?" He asked.

I wanted to say yes and hang out with him all day but I was meant to be with Luke. "I can't, I need to go find Luke, sorry." I said.

"That's okay, I'll see you later then?" He asked.

"Of course!" I replied.

Ashton smiled, "good, be sure to call me if you ever need to talk, okay?" I nodded as he pulled me into a hug before walking away.
