Part 14

After school everyone came over our house and the boys set up their instruments in front of the Christmas tree that Luke and I had put up after Calum had left on Sunday. Ellie's mum was making her clean her room so she couldn't come over so I decided to go upstairs and watch the new Janoksians video, Pedestrian Crossing.

I laughed the entire time and didn't even realise when the boys had finished recording.

"Having fun?" I heard Ashton's voice ask from my doorway, making me jump.

"Oh, haha yep!" I said, smiling. Ashton walked into my room and sat on my bed to see what I was watching. He cracked up laughing when Beau and James were arguing over the TV so Jai just sat in the middle of the road and started reading a magazine.

"Who are these guys?" Ashton asked, still laughing.

"You've never heard of the Janoskians?" I asked, shocked. Ashton shook his head. "Well then, I'm gonna give you a lesson on everything Janoskians." I said and went to the Q&A video.

Ashton and I got comfy on my bed and I started the video. "Ok, so this is Luke, James, Beau, Jai and Daniel AKA Skip." I said, pointing at the boys from left to right. "Luke and Jai are twins and Beau is their older brother." I went on and on about the Janoskians and how they live in Melbourne and stuff like that.

When the video was over Ashton turned to me, "well you seem like a Janoskians expert," he smirked.

"Hehe that's me!" I laughed and turned to face him. It was only then that I realised how close our faces were.

"You have really pretty eyes," Ashton whispered and I felt myself blush. My heart started racing as Ashton began to lean in. I couldn't bring myself to move away or stop him so I just sat there and waited for our lips to touch. Ashton's lips just brushed against mine when I heard Luke's voice coming from my doorway.

"What the hell?" Luke exclaimed, causing Ashton and I to jump away from each other quickly.

"Luke," I breathed, "what are you doing in here?"

"I came to find Ashton after he said he was going to the bathroom and didn't return for 15 minutes."

"We were watching the Janoskians," I said.

"Mmhmm, that's definitely what it looked like," Luke said sarcastically, "how do you think Calum would feel if he was the one to walk in instead of me?"

Guilt rushed over me as I realised what I'd done. I looked down at my hands which were in my lap.

"Look, it was my fault, not Charlie's" Ashton said suddenly.

"I don't care who's fault it was," Luke said, "but Charlie, if you don't tell Calum, I will." With that Luke walked out and left me and Ashton alone.

"Well, I should probably go.." Ashton said, getting up shyly.

"Yeah," was all I managed to say. Ashton walked out and left me sitting in my room alone. I thought over what had just happened and ran a finger along my bottom lip. I smiled as I thought of the idea of Ashton's lips on mine. But then I thought of Calum. I was the worst girlfriend in the world. First Lachie and now Ashton. How could Calum even stand to be with me. Well he won't once he finds out about Ashton. I'd just spent Sunday assuring him that there was nothing going on between Ashton and I. Why did there have to be so many sweet, caring, attractive boys in my life? And why did they all have to like me?

I logged into twitter and scrolled through my TL. One tweet inparticular caught my attention,

@ashton5sos: you're just a daydream away...

I favourited it before deciding that I couldn't stay in my room forever.
