Gwen fell asleep 6 hours into the journey and I just watched Gangsta squad on the TVs they had on the plane. One of the air hostesses came over and talked to me a few times about where we were going, what we where going to do when we got there and that sort of thing.

I awoke to the air hostess lightly poking me and saying "Sir we're coming into land you to put your seat belt on now!". I nodded. Gwen slept through half the journey. I kissed her on the cheek and she slowly opened her eyes. "We're coming in to land now Gwen.".
"Oh okay." She replied putting her seat belt on. Gwen puckered her lips up and I leant in and kissed her.

We walked down the steps of the and as the cold English breeze swiped across our faces. As I shivered my grip on Gwens hand tightened. She looked up at me and smiled. We were both relieved to enter the actual airport. I rubbed my arms to try and make me feel warmer. "We're finally here." we both said in unison.

After we went through passport control we awaited our taxi by the door. I lean over to Gwen and asked her "Did you definitely book the taxi?"
"Yes I did. I don't understand why he's not here.". Baring in mind we'd been waiting there for about 20 minutes, I was getting pretty agitated.

I was about to call us another taxi when a young man with blonde hair stumbled in to the airport. He was holding a sign that read Mr Parker. He hurriedly shook my hand a apologised for being late. Gwen and I were both lead out to his four seater taxi. I assisted him with lifting our cases into the boot.

The driver helped us in. Whilst we were driving I wanted to strike up a conversation so I asked "Is it always this cold in England?". The driver vaguely looked back and replied in his thick British accent "Oh no. In summer it gets to about 18 to 27 degrees. But in winter it gets a lot colder.". I nodded and looked over at Gwen. She was marvelling at everything we were passing.
