I slowly opened my eyes and let them adjust to the light in the room. I lifted my head from the desk well jacket that cushioned my head from the hard desk. I looked around and saw I was in the police department. People were talking and across from the desk were the cells. I saw Jack sitting there playing with his hands, he notice I'm awake yet.

"Katie!" I heard Jim say running over to me.

"Jim!" I say standing up and hugging him.

What can I say he's like a second father to me. He pulled away and placed his hands on my shoulders steadying me cause I was still a bit wobbly. He pushed me back into the seat and gave me aspirin and a water bottle.

"Sorry I couldn't take you to the hospital. The Joker threatened that someone else would die if you were to leave." He told me worriedly

"It's fine. And thanks." I said opening up the water bottle and took the pills. Jim nodded.

"I see your awake." Jim and I snapped our heads to Jack. He kept his cool and calm exterior but in his eyes it showed relief. Jim stood up glaring at Jack.

"Don't talk to her." Jim growled. I look at Jack and he just stared back at me with a smirk on his face then winked. I felt myself lightly blush and luckily Jim didn't noticed.

The mayor walked into the room and walked up to Jim.

"Back from the dead?" Mayor asked Jim.

"I couldn't risk my family's safety." He responded. The mayor turned and looked over at Jack.

"What do we got?"

"Nothing. No matches on prints, DNA, dental, clothing is custom, no labels, nothing in his pockets but knives and lint. No name, no other alias." Jim stated.

"Go home Gordon. We'll keep the clown til morning, go get some rest your gonna need it. Tomorrow you take the big job, you don't have a say in the manor Commissioner Gordon." Jim looked shocked. I smiled and began clapping like the others. I glanced over at Jack who was clapping also.
-
"You sure your going to be alright here?" Jim asked me the millionth time.

"Yes I will don't worry about me and go see your family." I told him hugging him once more before he nodded and went home.

Soon after they put another guy into the cell. He was complaining about his insides hurting.

It's just been reported that Harvey is missing. And Jack knows where he is. They handcuffed him and brung him into the interrogation room.

I stood in front of the glass and watched Jack sit there and eventually Jim came back and he entered the room.

"Evening commissioner." Jack said drawling out the r. Jim sat down in front of him.

"Harvey Dent never made it home. What have you done to him?"

"Me? I was right here." He says faking innocence. He raised his handcuffed hands. "Who did you leave him with? Your people? Assuming they still are your people. And not Maroni's. Does it depress you commissioner to know just how alone you really are?" Jack says. I know what he's doing, he trying to get under Jim's skin. "Does it make you feel responsible for Harvey Dent's predicament?"

"Where is he?" Jim questioned.

"What's the time?" Jack asked right afterwards.

"What difference does that make?"

"Well depending on the time he can be in one spot or several." He stated making gestures with his hands. Jim pulled a key out of his pocket and began unlocking the handcuffs.
