Mitch's POV
The room is silent. Well that's mainly because I'm the only one in it. I don't know why I expected her to show up. I wanted to text her, but I couldn't figure out what to say. She could get seriously mad at me or she could just make things awkward. Typical. So I just waited. Soon I heard the sound of sneakers walking towards the choir room and I turned my attention towards the doorway. There stood Kirstie. Man she looked like a mess. Her hair was in a messy bun, she had no makeup on and she was wearing a hoodie. I mean seriously?"Hi," I said trying to make a conversation. She quietly put her stuff near the doorway and sat as far away from em as possible.
"Hi satan," she grinned. I have to admit a smile did make its way through my mouth.
"How childish." I said under my breathe. Kirstie must of heard because soon I was gripping my arm where she previously hit me. "Ow!" I yelled sassily making Kirstie laugh.
"Sorry it's just so hilarious watching you in pain," I rolled my eyes and opened up my binder.
"Thanks asshole," I said as I took out my sheet music and handed a copy to Kirstie. She looked it over and gave me a look.
"Seriously Rather Be? Do you mean the solo I literally just did?" I nodded my head.
"It's a good song. Some people just sing it terribly," I said giving her a hint. She than hit my arm in the exact same spot only this time to be hit back by me.
"asshole," she said under her breathe.
"Dipshit," I said loudly. Her jaw clenched and I could tell she was trying extremely hard not to tackle me right now.
"Whatever let's just get this over with," I nodded in agreement and we started arranging. In about an hour we had the song fully arranged.
"I feel like it needs a few more voices ooh and some beat boxing!" Kirstie said excitedly. I nodded my head.
"And I have just the people," I said texting my friends Avi, Scott, and Kevin (hint hint wink wink). They replied in seconds and I squealed. "Looks like we have everyone we need," I said excitedly. Kirstie scoffed.
"Don't celebrate too much. You just got lucky," I glared at her. The five-minutes-left bell rang and I got up quickly.
"Bye jackass!" I said as I left. I heard Kirstie scoff.
"Bye satan! Don't get too hot down there. Oh and don't be too mean to your little slaves," I rolled my eyes and lucky to be away from Kirstie.
*during chorus class*
"Alright everyone settle down," Ms. Wilson said, "I now have an opening for the solo since there was a little problem. The auditions are after school. I expect the same thing per usual." she kept on looking at Kirstie and I. Note: Ms. Wilson has a very deadly glare. "Now for our first summative I'm going to have you get into group of three four or fives and make a cool arrangement. Please note this will be 30% of your grade." I heard some groans. I made eye contact with Scott. If I was going to well on this 30% I might as well have help from my good old Scotty boy. When she finally let us get together I ran straight to Scott."Hey Mitch. I'll go get Avi and Kevin. Can you look for a fifth member?" I shrugged.
"Okay but I don't know who it's going to be. I don't really have other friends aside from you guys," Scott chuckled than went to get kevin and Avi who looked... Lost. I than looked at Kirstie who was also standing there lost. I felt bad for her. Even though I hate her. But somehow, my feet carried me towards her because I found myself in front of her.
"Umm so uh," Kirstie giggled.
"Spit it out Mitch!" I sighed and folded my arms. She smirked at me and copied my previous move.
"Would you like to join my group?" she looked surprised but shrugged it off.
"Sure," she said as she made her way over to Scott. I sighed yet again and walked back to Scott. When I got there Scott folded his arms and looked between Kirstie and I.
"Now I know there's a feud going on between you two but can you guys try not to be at each other's throats? Please?" Kirstie and I glared at each other.
"Fine," we said at the same time. We than figured out a song and decided to choose that one.
"It's so catchy!" Kevin cheered as we left chorus. Before Kirstie and I could leave Ms. Wilson stopped us.
"Kirstin, Mitch, my office please," we both groaned and made our way to her office. We sat down quietly and waited for her to speak up.
"I hope you two are working things out. I thoughts someone was going to get hurt judging by the way I saw you guys bicker," Kirstie and I laughed lightly and Ma. Wilson shook her head.
"Ms. W we are working on an arrangement right now and we've added three more people, if you don't mind," Ms. Wilson sat back in her chair amused.
"An A Capella group I'm guessing. Very creative! I can't wait to hear it! Now go on and let your next teacher know that you were with me," we both nodded and runs to our next classes which were luckily different.
After school, when I got home, my mom was dressed up.
"What's the occasion?" I asked smirking. My mom chuckled, setting down her purse and facing me.
"We've been invited to a party tonight since it's Friday. It's formal dress so go get into a button up shirt and meet your father and me down here." I nodded my head running upstairs to my room, quickly got change, grabbed my phone, and ran back downstairs to find my dad and mom sitting there patiently for me.
"I'm ready," I said triumphantly. They both laughed and we went out to the car. I popped a question I'd been dying to know. "Will there be people that are my age there?" my parents looked at each other and shrugged.
"Probably. Now don't get too mad but this party is at the Maldonado household," I tensed up as my blood began to boil.
"What?!?!"
