Kirstie's POV
"Can you believe we actually graduated?" My best friend Ava said as we drove onto my street. I giggled and shook my head."No I can't," I said smiling, "it's gone by so fast." She nodded in response as we parked on my driveway. I love LA. It's just so vibrant and gorgeous. Especially our neighbourhood. Everyone is surprisingly nice.
"What do you want to do?" Ava asked as we entered my home. I shrugged and lazily put my stuff down.
"Well it's the last day of school, so that means someone has to invite us to a sick party." Ava giggled and nodded her head.
"I swear you are the biggest party animal ever," Ava said as I got a notification on my phone. Oh my god it's Scott!
Scott: guess who's coming to LA in a few days?
Kirstie: You?
Scott: Yup.
I squealed and starting doing a happy dance. Ava stood there amazed before running in and stopping me.
"Yeah please don't do that at the party we were just invited to," I giggled and opened my front door. Ava followed as I reached the tip of my driveway. I got into my car and Ava put in the navigation. Soon we were there and we're having a blast. Soon a couple of guys came up to me with their phone and shoved it in my face. It was a picture of a really hot guy. I recognized him but I couldn't make of his name.
"He's apparently coming to LA to look for a house. He's very popular in the music business," the guy said before putting his phone back in his pocket.
"He apparently got a record deal with a company and he's moving to LA with his best friend. The best part is, he's coming tomorrow." Ava said as we left the party. I nodded my head.
"It also just so happens that my best friend is flying in tomorrow!" I said excitedly, "I haven't seen him in years." I said all perkily.
"Really?" Ava said clearly shocked, "well a double whammy! I can't wait to meet that guy though. He's a true artist," I smiled. I've never seen Ava so excited to meet another teenager, especially one that's a guy. She's just, weird. Yup that's the only way to describe her. Weird.
*the next morning*
Mitch's POV
"Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to welcome you all to Los Angeles, California!" The captain of our flight said cheerfully. As we all boarded off the flight, Scott's excitement kept on rising."We're really here!" He yelled smiling widely. I laughed and grinned. Scott than smirked at me.
"And there's going to be a lot of cute girls at your welcome party. They apparently got all of the graduates of a high school to come to it because everyone there are music freaks just like us," I giggled and nodded. Sounds magical. He than got a text on his phone and smiled as he typed back. He than looked at me. "Oh and I'm going to meet someone today and I want you to come with me," I smiled.
"Okay," I said unsure, "but if things get awkward I'm leaving to go get settled in our new home." Scott laughed and rolled his eyes. We than got into an Über and headed to our new home. As I was unpacking, Scott walked into room with his arms folded.
"Cmon we have a party to go to," he said handing me my clothes, "find something nice in but casual in here." I laughed and began to rummage through my clothes. That shouldn't be too hard.
An hour later we were in the car heading to a "sick" party which had nobody that I knew. Or so I thought. As we reached the place I could hear the music blaring loudly. And it wasn't just any music, it was my music. Scott smirked at me and I groaned.
"I'm guessing this was your idea," I said sassily. Scott nodded and giggled.
"Hey it's good music so why not," he shrugged. I giggled and followed him into the place. Let the adventure begin.
Kirstie's POV
I knew I recognized the voice as they played new songs from this upcoming artist. Why is the name not popping up though? I just shrugged it off and continued dancing and singing along. Some songs were covers, others were originals. And boy were they all amazing. Suddenly I felt my phone buzz and I reached into my pocket to grab it. I smiled as I read the text.Scott: I'm at the party. And I brought a surprise;)
Kirstie: it better be a good surprise. I'm near the front dancing.
Scott: Oh trust me it's the best surprise ever!
I smiled and looked around for Scott. Soon I started hearing cheering and looked towards the door. I couldn't see above all of the heads (what did you expect? I'm short okay?) I sighed and continued dancing. Soon I saw Scott's head above the large crowd and I ran to hug him.
"Scott!" I yelled and hugged him tightly, "I love you and I've missed you." He giggled and hugged me back.
"That's nice and all but I think you should be saying that to someone else," Scott said smirking at me. I looked at him confused and he took my hand and lead me near the stage area. "Just wait a second," he said as he stood up on the stage. "Hello everyone!" Scott said cheerfully, "if you don't already know I'm Mitch's partner in crime." Mitch? Why is he bringing up Mitch? "So an anyways," Scott continued, "Mitch has been through a lot. At one point he fell in love but then lost it." Scott looked at me. Seriously? Why is he bringing this up in front of hundreds of people? A whole bunch of people awed and I folded my arms. He better have a good explanation for this. "If you want to say hi to him he'll be sitting over there," Scott pointed and everyone cheered and looked to where he was pointing. I looked and tears began coming to my eyes. He's here. He's really here. Scott then thanked the audience and ran off the stage.
"How?" Was the one word I could muster out. Scott giggled.
"He's been wanting to see you ever since you got in that car and drove away to LA." Tears of happiness strolled down my face and I smiled.
"Yeah but he probably has a girlfriend," I said looking at Scott sadly. Scott shook his head.
"I was standing next to him when he made a vow to never date anyone else but you," that was all I needed to run through that crowd and run towards Mitch. He saw me and I heard him whisper, "Kirstie," before running and kissing me. When we let go I hugged him tightly. I was crying hard now and my body was shaking. These are the lips I missed. This is the one person I've longed for these past few years. This is the moment I've dreamed would happen one day. And it happened.
"It's really you," I whispered resting my forehead against his. He smiled.
"It would never be anyone else Kirstie." Mitch whispered before kissing me again.
