Mitch's POV
"I'll have to get Scott's approval on it since he's not really intact with you," I said once our sisters left the room," but I guess I'll come. BUT only if Scott comes." She sighed and nodded slowly. What's her problem? "Hey are you okay?" I asked genuinely worried. She nodded looking away.

"Yeah," she sighed. I than excused myself to leave and I went to the kitchen to see how breakfast was coming. As I walked past my sister she pulled me aside.

"Let's be honest Mitch," she said knowingly, "we both know what happened last night." I gave her wide eyes and she smirked. "Kennedy saw everything that happened with the teenagers last night. She also tells me everything," I closed the door and sat her down.

"Sierra, that meant nothing to me. So please don't say a word," she giggled and nodded her head.

"So now that you know what that bet was about," she giggled more, "you should go to that party," I raised my eyebrow at her. "Mitch we were literally standing right there the entire time! Smarten up when it comes to private conversations," I laughed this time and opened the door to find everyone at the table ready to eat.

"There you are!" My mom said looking at us annoyed, "c'mon everyone's ready to eat," as I sat down all I could see was Kirstie seeing right through Sierra and I's conversation.

*day before the party*
"Explain to me exactly how this all happened," Scott said still confused after the millionth time of me telling him about the party. I sighed and smiled.

"Listen carefully this time Hoying," I said sassily, "her family invited my family over for breakfast. She talked to me and very hesitantly asked me if I wanted to bring you with me to her friends party. It was probably her friends idea so don't think of anything," I said as we entered class. He nodded and sat down next to me. Genevieve sat down in front of him and turned around to face the both of us.

"Hey!" she said cheerfully, "do you guys want to go to my party tomorrow night? I know it's a Thursday but we don't have school so what's there to loose?" We all laugh and Scott and I both nod.

"We'll be there," I smiled and she returned it happily.

"Okay but just so you know," she said all FBI like, "Kirstie's going to be there," I looked around the room hesitantly.

"It's a big party right?" I asked. She nodded, "than I should be fine," she smiled and turned around just as the teacher walked into the room.

After school, as I was walking home, Scott ran up to me and I stopped to let him catch his breath.

"Wow Scott," I said sarcastically, "how far did you run? 200 metres?" He rolled his eyes and laughed.

"No but I did almost run 1 kilometre which is a record for me," he said proud of himself. I scoffed.

"Anyways what's up?" I asked bouncing on my toes. He started walking and I caught up to him.

"Well I noticed that you and Kirstie weren't at each other's throats at all today. Did something that I don't know about happen?" I shook my head as my cheeks turned red.

"Hell no!" I yelled making Scott bounce. "Sorry," I said apologizing. We than walked home.

Kirstie's POV
*the next afternoon*
"I wonder if there will be any cute boys," Esther said looking at me, "you know boys that have a M at the beginning of their name," I rolled my eyes at her hinting and put on mascara.

"You're kidding right? I hate Mitch!" I yelled back in surrender. Esther put her hands in the air with surrender.

"Jeez sorry! I was just kidding," she said as she grabbed her jacket, "now c'mon! I hate being late for parties." I followed her out and texted Genevieve.

Kirstie: we're on our way! We want to be there extra early so we can help you with anything!

Genevieve: yay! Can't wait!

I put away my phone and blasted music as I anxiously waited to see how this night will go. When we arrived at Genevieve's house, I practically jumped out of the car and raced to her doorway. I rang the doorbell and Genevieve opened the door excitedly.

"Let's get this party started!" Esther screamed as we blasted music that filled the silence of the room.

"People should be arriving soon," Genevieve yelled over the music. Esther and I both nodded. Genevieve was right. People started crowding into the house. The only two people I didn't see, were Scott and Mitch. I sighed and looked for Genevieve and Esther, they were nowhere to be found. Soon I heard the faint sound of a doorbell and I ran to the door. I opened it to find Scott and Mitch.

"Woah Kirstie you look great!" Scott said bringing me into a hug. At the corner of my eye I could see Mitch standing there awkwardly.

"Hi Mitch!" I said cheerfully. He smiled weakly and I could tell something was wrong with him. I shrugged it off. As I left I could feel Mitch's eyes raking my body. I turned to find him staring. I giggled and waltzed away to find my friends.

Mitch's POV
"She actually said hi to you?!" Scott said in shock. I nodded and blushed. Thank goodness for darkness. If there was light in this room Scott would be able to see that I was blushing. I shrugged and walked into the living room.

"It's nothing," I said. But a part of me wished it were more. And that was something I couldn't wrap my head around. It just made no sense. I looked for the biggest group and found myself talking to many people in our grade. Finally Genevieve stood up on a platform and turned off the music.

"Hi guys!" She said cheerfully, "I was thinking we could play a few party games," oh no. I don't want a repeat of that night. "Everyone in a circle! We're going to play spin the bottle," everyone (except me) cheered and we all got in a circle. I made sure I was far away from Kirstie, because last time I was one person away from her.

"I'll go first!" Esther yelled spinning the bottle. I sat there mentally praying it won't be me. When it landed on someone else relief flooded over me. But when that person got Kirstie, my anxiety went over the roof.

"Okay here I go!" Kirstie laughed spinning the bottle. Again it landed between me and another guy. I face palmed and shook my head.

"Hey it's closer to mark!" One of them yelled. I felt relief flood over me again. But a part of me wished it would've been me who was chosen.

Once we were done with games and everyone dispersed around the room, I decided on something I never thought I'd ever say in my entire life.
