Chapter Three

As days pass by, there has been no recent updates with Alec and I feel like calling him back but I would feel like one of those clingy girls which I don't want to sound like so I'm gonna be patient like I was before I had an urge to call Alec again the other day.

Instead I'll spend my free day walking around in town, maybe go to the park and enjoy the scenery
As I'm walking around the pond/park, I think about whether or not I want to keep this child or not.
Like I know Lexi will probably help me raise the baby but I don't know.
What if my mum finds out? She'd be totally pissed I made her grandmother at such a young age.

I'm brought back to the presence when I hear my phone ring and I check the caller ID and I drop my phone.

Alec

Oh my god! He's returning my phone call! Agh!!
My hands are shaking as I answer the phone and then I hear his British accent on the other side

A- hello?.... Hello?..... Kat?
K- hi Alec
A- Kat? I got your message what's up?
K- um can we meet up somewhere? I kinda need to tell you face to face than over the phone
A- oohkay where do you want to meet up?
K- how about the cafe around 3?
A- see you then

The phone goes dead and I start to squeal like a 4 year old girl when she gets a new doll!

I hop into my car and I head directly into my car and cautiously but excitedly drive home and I dial Lexi's phone but she's not answering me so I put my phone down and I'll just wait till she gets home to tell her.

As soon as I get home, I relieved myself and made a cup of hot coffee and turned the tv on to kill the time before Lexi comes home.

** 3 hours later **

"Kat? I'm home!" Lexi calls out and as soon as that door closes I pounced on her like a cougar "Kat! You're gonna hurt yourself! And your baby!"
"I have some big big news to tell you!" I blurted as we sit on the couch and I turned the tv off
"So what's the big news? Tell me!" She says and I smile
"He called me back today around noon," I said
"Who? Alec?" She says and I nod and she squeals "ohmygod! He did? Are you gonna meet up with him? When? Where? Do you want me to come with you?"
"Lexi chill you sound more excited than me!" I said and we laugh "I'm meeting him at the cafe around three and no I don't you to tag along I'll give you the details after promise,"
"You owe me!" She says and I smile "hungry? I can make us some dinner,"
"Yes please I'm starved!" I said and she hops up and heads into the kitchen without telling what she's gonna make tonight, hopefully not a disaster again like last time she heard good news and volunteered to make dinner.

I flush the toilet as I finish piling last night's dinner and I get ready for the day. Also I decided to wear something really nice since this would be the first time I'll be seeing Alec since that night.

As I drink my hot chocolate, my mind thinks about what if he takes this the wrong way and he wants nothing to do with me or the baby? What if he doesn't believe he's the father?

No Kat! Stop thinking like that! He'll just have to learn to accept he's a father whether he likes it or not. It's not like you're expecting him to marry you and be together or ask for child support. You're just gonna tell him and if he doesn't answer the way you think he does then you'll just walk away from him

I hop in my car and I head to class before I'm late

** 3 hours later **

Classes are finally over and I have that dreaded feeling inside me which makes me wish classes were longer or I can cancel the meeting with Alec.
I don't know why I'm like this, I'm not shy around guys but Alec is different than most dudes here but what if he denies the baby's his?
No I can't think any negativity right now, not before I head inside and I won't chicken out.

Kat you can do this, all you have to do is tell him you're pregnant with his baby and you don't want anything from him but to know that you're carrying his baby.

And with that, I hop out my car and walk inside where I'm greeted by Gracie and I asked to sit in a booth where nobody can see us or hear what I'm gonna tell Alec

"The usual Kat?" Gracie says and I shake my head
"No can I get some hot chocolate please?" I said and she seems confused at first but she nods and heads to the back.

I start playing with my hair out of habit as Gracie serves me my drink and leaves as I tell her I don't want anything else.
It's been ten minutes and there's still no sign of Alec anywhere. I decided to wait a few more minutes before I leave, kinda feeling hurt Alec stood me up, I hear the door jingle and I look up to see Alec standing there, being greeted by Gracie as he walks over to me.
Alec is wearing a black t-shirt with jeans and he sits across from me.
"Can I get you something sir?" Gracie asks
"Can I get a cup of coffee please black no cream but lots of sugar please," he says and I mentally glare at him cause I'm craving for a big cup of coffee.

"Hey Kat, you look different since the last time I seen you what's up?" He says tossing me a grin, yeah I'm pregnant and its your baby you ass. I gave him a small smile as I take a sip of my drink
"We need to talk about something," I said softly
"Yeah that's why I'm here and that's what you said in your voicemail what do you want to talk about?" He asks and I sighed
"Look there's no way to sugarcoat this so I'll tell straight out," I said and I take a deep breath is and let it out "I'm pregnant and its your baby,"
The grin slips from his face as his face turns into something cold which makes me want to hide under the table and he doesn't say anything for awhile
"Look I don't want anything from you okay? I just a wanted you to know that's all," I said and then I dogged in my purse for some cash and left it on the table for my drink and then I get up and head to the door "it was nice seeing you Alec,"
I said before I headed to my car and I brought the bug to life and I look up and I see Alec watching me as I back up and then I drive away.
