Chapter Five

As the day finally ends, I gather my books and I leave the school.
On my way to my car, I hear someone calling my name and it's the least person I want to see in the universe. Tyler. I stopped so he can catch up and prepare myself to hear him beg for me to take him back.
"Kat we need to talk," he says and I sigh "look I know I've been an ass to you but I promise I can make it up to you if you give me a chance,"
"Tyler how many times do I have to tell you?" I said "I moved on I'm not gonna wait for you to realize your mistakes now, I'm over us and you should be too, I'm not the same girl you met freshman year, I did loved you Ty but we were never meant to be okay? Just spare yourself from rejection and hurt and move on."
"I can't Kat you're still my everything and I know sleeping with Miranda wasn't the smart move when I was angry with you and I'm sorry please Kat take me back, I need you more than you know," he pleads
"I can't Tyler you just have to accept we are over and I want nothing to do with you," I said and then he grabs me by my shoulders and I jump "let go of me Tyler,"
"Katherine I love you I always have and still do, please baby take me back," he pleads and he's starting to hurt me
"Tyler you're hurting me," I cried
"Please Kat I need you in my life," he pleads and I shake my head
"No I-" I croaked as he squeezes me again and I wince, curse you football players! "Tyler... Let go... Of me! You're hurting me!"
"Hey!" Someone shouts as he removes Tyler's strong grip on me and shoved him to the ground "the lady says no cant take a hint asshole?"
Realizing who saved me from Tyler, his was gonna get ugly and if not worst
"What are you doing here Alec?" I asked and he ignores my question and he hovers over Tyler
"If I find out you're less than a foot close to her or even lay your hands on her ever again I swear this won't be the last time you'll see me," Alec threatens and then Tyler glances at me and scurries away from him

"Why are you here?" I asked as I gathered my thoughts about what just happened
"Are you okay?" He asks again avoiding my question and I nod
"I'm fine," I muttered but he doesn't seem convinced so he checks me himself and then he takes my arm in his hands and he leads me to his black mustang
"Where are we going?" I asked and he doesn't answer but turns the radio on.
"Are you hungry?" He asks and I nod. He drives us to Bubba's Burger Shack that was 20 minutes away from home and it's worth the ride cause Bubba, the chef knows how to make bangin' burgers, Alec puts the car in park and jogs to my side and offers me his hand to help me out his car.

The waitress shows us our booth and asked us what we'd like to drink.
"French Vanilla Latte," Alec says and the waitress nods
"And you?" She asks
"Hot chocolate please," I said and she nods and then we were alone.
It was kinda awkward until or waitress served us our drinks and asked what we wanted to eat. I decided to settle on a burger and fries and Alec got the same.

"So how are you doing Kat?" Alec says breaking the silence and I smile at him
"I'm good you?" I said
"Doing well," he says and I nod. Trying to figure out why he's here, I decided to ask
"Why are you here Alec? I mean how'd you know where I was?" I asked
"Besides being here knowing that you're pregnant with my child," he softly says "I thought I could surprise you at when school finished and maybe ask if you'd like to have lunch with me and when I saw that asshole hurting you well I had to do something,"
"I could handle my own but thanks," I said
"Sure like it," he snorts and I rolled my eyes and we stayed quiet as we eat our meals.
When it came for paying the bill, Alec says he got it and that I'll make it up to him sometime later, like that'd happen buddy.

As we walk out together, Alec opens my door for me and then we drive out in silence. Which is kind of the way I it. I don't mind the silence.
"Why are you mad at me?" He asks as we are halfway to my place
"I'm not," I said and he sighs
"Yes you are your cheeks turn pink when you lie," he says and I roll my eyes "I'm--" he was cut off by his phone and I rolled my eyes and looked out the window.

"What?... No I'll be there in a bit... Don't worry about it... I won't be long," he says and then I tune him out as I continue to look at the full moon on my left.

As I bring myself back to reality, I noticed Alec missed my street and I start to worry
"Alec you missed my street turn back," I said and then he goes a little faster "what the hell? Slow the fuck down you could kill us!"
"Can't you just sit there and stay quiet," he says coldly and I get pissed
"This is like kidnapping! Bring me home now!" I shouted but he did no such thing but speeds up
"You can't kidnap what's already yours," he says and I get confused.
"I want to go home Alec," I demanded
"Can't there's something I need to do and I can't have you home," he says
"And why the hell not? You can do whatever you want when you drop me off at my place," I said and he sighs
"Kat just trust me on this please," he says
"Trust you? The guy who gotten me pregnant in the first place?" I said and he rolled his eyes and then the car comes to a stop and we in a place I didn't New England would have.
Alec hops out the car and opens my door for me, this could be my chance to run and make a good run for it.
Alec steps aside and as soon as I'm on both feet I made a run for it
"KAT!" Alec shouts but I ignored him and kept running.
Like an idiot I am, I don't pay attention to directions and I have no idea where to go.
I stopped running only to catch my breath
"Kat," Alec says and I stiffen, 
How did he catch up to me so fast?

"Kat come back with me," he says "it's not safe out here,"
"Leave me alone," I muttered
"Kat," he says and I can hear the warning in his tone
"I said no so leave me alone I'm walking home," I said
"And go where? Huh Kat? You're gonna get lost in a second, then what?" He says "come back with me and I'll take you back,"
"I'll walk home," I said and I hear him sigh
"Alright you leave me no choice," he says and he walks over to me and tosses me over his shoulder
"Hey! Put me down! Alec! Put me down now!" I demanded
"Katherine you left me no choice this is what happens," he says and I pound at his back and he laughs.

Annoyed with the fact that I had to be carried all the way back, as we pass up his car, he brings us into an apartment and deposits me on a couch.
"Where are we?" I asked
"Don't worry about it," he says "look I'll be back in an hour tops. Watch tv take a nap, I'll be back before you know it,"
"Where are you going?" I asked
"There's no way you can leave unless you enter the code at the door with the same print as mine." He says "don't do anything stupid,"
"Like what?" I muttered and he smiles then leaves me alone.
