Chapter Six

It's been an hour and Alec isn't back and I start to feel antsy. I don't want to be here but there's no way for me to escape. The ass locked me in here and then it hit me the Windows! I go to the nearest window which is across the living.

Crap! I'm too short by a foot! What kind of walls does this ass have?! I know I had to get out here now and fast. What if he's in the mafia? No way I'm letting my baby around him!
I look around and I see a stool under the table and I drag it to my window.
I try lifting the thing but it's freaking heavy!

I tried again and I tried to swing the stool against the window but the thing bounced back and I gave up. I let out a frustrated groan and then I hear someone clear their throat and I froze.
"Who are you?" She says and I felt something cold pressed against my shoulder blade "I'm gonna ask one more time who are you? How'd you find this place?"
Again my mouth seemed like it couldn't talk so I turned around and I see a girl who's a foot shorter than me pointing a gun at me and I panic
"Answer me!" She growls and I start to sweat
"A-Al- Alec brought me here," I stuttered
"Bullshit!" She says and then clicks the gun, oh shit I'm gonna die! "Who are you? Why are you here?"
"I'm n-not lying!" I said "Alec dropped me off and told me he'll be right back,"
"Any last words?" She says goodbye cruel world

"Lose the gun Callie," a deep British voice says and I open my eyes and I see Alec standing in the doorway and he looks aggravated.
"We have an-" the girl says
"She's no intruder I brought her here," he says "you can go now,"
The girl leaves without a word and I'm left alone with him.
"Who was she?" I blurted before I could stop myself from asking
"You don't have to worry about her she won't be a problem," he says
"Yeah not until she has you under gun point that is," I muttered and I glance at him and he's staring at me
"Are you okay?" He asks and I nod "I know you're scared and well I should've told you that I shared this apartment with three other people. I'm sorry about that,"
"You should've," I said and he sighs and I watch him carefully as he looks around the room and his eyes lands on the stool
"What were you trying to do with the stool?" He asks and my face turns pink. "Kat what were you trying to do before me or Callie got here?"
"Nothing I swear," I lied and he gave me a questioning look but dropped it.
"Are you hungry?" He asks
"No I want to go home," I said
"It's late," he says
"I don't care but if you don't want to drive me home I'll walk," I said and made my way to the door
"And how would you get out the apartment without knowing the security code?" He says and I mentally curse him out.
"Alec I just want to go home okay? Drink some hot chocolate and go home is that too much to ask?" I whined and then he says nothing but holds the front door open for me.

I follow him out to his car and we drive back to my place in complete silence.
My mind starts to wonder as we near my apartment, what would happen if I did get shot? Even before Alec came? What if he was too late? I--
"We're here," Alec says as he cuts the engine off and I look out the window and I sigh.
"Good night Alec," I said and I genuinely leave a kiss on his cheek then I made my way to my apartment.

I glare at the sun as it beams through my shades waking me up and I stretch.
Today around 3 in the afternoon, Lexi scheduled me an appointment with Dr. Richards.
I get up and I take a long shower since classes don't start till eleven and then I hear someone knock on my door and I sigh.
I grabbed my robe and I wrapped it around my body and I answer the door only to see its Alec. Not the first person I wanted to see on a Friday morning.
"Can I come in?" He asks and I move aside for him to enter "aren't you late for class?"
"No an why do you care about my classes? They don't start till eleven," I said and he nods
"What time did you say was your appointment?" He asks
"At three why?" I asked
"Can I come?" He asks and I sigh
"Sure why the hell not?" I said rhetorically and he smiles
"Did you eat breakfast?" He asks and I shake my head no "get your butt in the shower I'll have breakfast ready when you're done,"
I nodded my head and I take my time in the bathroom.
