Darcy bit her lip disappointedly. She couldn't believe he had just left like that. She lifted her backpack up over her shoulder and marched outside. She walked straight to her car.

"Darcy! Hey! Darcy wait up!" Alex called from across the lot. Darcy looked up, her curls falling around her shoulders. She stood and waited for him to make his way across the lot. "Hi! I went to my own locker and when I came back you were gone!" He didn't even seem out of breathe from his little jog.

"I figured you went home." Darcy shrugged and yanked open the door of her dad's old Range Rover. Alex stood in front of her, blocking her way. His curls fell over his eyes and he had a cheeky grin across his mouth. Darcy wanted to push his hair out of his face like her mother did to her father.

"Let me drive you home. We can go to the Stop n' Shake down the road. Everyone will be there." He grabbed the edge of the door Darcy was holding and slammed it shut. Before she could even blink he had hauled her up over his shoulder.

"What are you doing!? Put me down!" She squealed and kicked and pounded her fists in his back but he didn't budge. Finally she was dropped into a plush leather seat. They were in a top less red convertible. Darcy huffed and crossed her arms.

"I told you. We're going to the Stop n' Shake." Alex didn't say another word as they drove away from the school, not even noticing the car behind them with tinted windows following.
