Darcy slipped on her jacket and grabbed her car keys. She glanced at the address again before heading out. She pulled her coat tighter around herself and turned the heat up in the car. She gripped the wheel tightly and stared straight ahead. She was worried about Alex but why didn't he just say where he was?Why send an address? She rested her head against the steering wheel and sighed. She stayed like that for a few more moments and then shifted into drive and turned onto the main road.

Darcy drove in silence, her mind racing and hoping the boy she loved was okay. She glanced at the address once more. She found the street and turned down it. It was a cute little neighborhood with children playing in the yards. One house stood out. The house's number matched those on the screen of her phone. The blinds were drawn tightly shut. There were no signs of life. Darcy pulled up to the curb down the street. She stared at the house.
Why was she there? Where was Alex? She sighed and got out of the car pulling her jacket tighter around her.
