:Monae's POV:

-1 Year Later-

I was laying on my bed writing song lyrics when I heard the doorbell ring. I kept writing until it rung again. I groaned and stood up. Walking downstairs I noticed I was the only one home. I didn't even look to see who it was I just opened the door. When I saw who it was I wanted to slam the door in their face. "Hey Dimples." Dre smiled. I just stared at him I had nothing to say to him. How can you mean so much to someone and make them feel like their everything to you and then it's gone in the blink of an eye, you leave and come back thinking everything will be the same. He frowned at my face and pulled me into a hug. I kept my arms at my side. He pulled back and looked at me,"What's wrong?" he asked. The fuck? Really dude what's wrong. I shook my head and went to close the door, but his hand stopped it. "Monae what the heel is wrong?" he walked in. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms over my chest. "Really Dre?" I shook my head. You leave and I don't hear from you at all, but once or twice amd that was right after." I poked him in the chest. "I thought we were more than that." I shook my head again. "What?" he looked confused. I realized what I said and stepped back. "Nothing." I mumbled. "Look Monae the only reason I couldn't talk to you is beacuse I broke my phone and when I got my new one I forgot to put your number in it." he shrugged. I felt a tug in my chest after he said that. He forgot me. Wow. He looked at my face and walked up to me. "I'm sorry I didn't mean it like that." he grabbed my hands. "No it's cool, but I bet you didn't forget to put Lea's number in huh?" I snatched my hands away from him and backed up. He looked hurt by what I said, but I've been suffering lately. Me and Zay barely talk, Adrian moved on campus, Bre is engaged, and Caylen moved in with Jessie. Christy lives here now though. She said her and a dorm didn't mix. I thought about how distant and off me and Zay's is and I felt tears at the brim of my eyes. It felt like after his surgery he went back into ways I didn't know he had. I stared at Dre as he dropped his head. "Monae I'm sorry." he mumbled looking up. I had to face facts I couldn't stay mad at Dre even if he did me dirty. I still had a spot for him specifically.

:Dre's POV:

I stared at Monae as she looked back at me. This isn't how this was suppose to go, but hopefully nothing else went wrong. I came back for college even though my mom didn't approve Saige came back with me and we have an apartment. I watched Monae walk up towards her room and I followed her. I didn't want her shutting me out. And this past year wasn't as easy as it may have sounded. I missed her like crazy. The only reason why I didn't talk to her is because Lea told me her and Zay were together. I figured I might as well leave her alone. I stood in Monae's doorway as she sat on the bed and started writing. I walked over and she closed the book. She looked up at me and then got up. When she put her book down she was walking past me and I stopped her. She stared at me as I got in front of her. "Monae." I grabbed her hands. "Dre." she mumbled looking down. I lifted her face and saw pain? I couldn't help myself I pressed my lips against hers and she kissed back instantly. I pulled her close to me as she shivered at my touch. I kissed down to her jaw then down to her neck. She leaned her head back and gasped when I bit her softly. I looked at her face and she smiled. I pulled her to the bed and she straddled me. She kissed me hard as I ran my hands up her back. In one quick motion I was on top and kissing her chest as she looked at me. She nodded her head as if saying yes and I immediately got excited. I pulled her shirt up and she pulled it off. I stared at her as she looked at me. I leaned back down and kissed all over her stomach. Before I went any farther I got up and closed the door locking it. I walked back over to Monae and kissed her lips sliding my tongue in her mouth as I made small circles on her stomach. She tugged at the bottom of my shirt, so I pulled it off. She leaned up and kissed my chest I pushed her back down and shook my head. I was going to please her. Period. I touched her shorts and I saw her eyes were closed. I pulled them down and she helped. I couldn't even believe we were this far I pinched myself to make sure it was real. I felt pain so I guess it was. I undid her bra and she held it then let it go. I sucked on one of her breasts while rubbing the other one.
