We entered the burning city without anymore trouble than the outside. We did encounter some Ciacodans and we told them to escape and leave for Svictoran. With the outer guard out-of-commission, the civilians would be able to escape easily. Unfortunately, we wouldn't be able to escort them there...because we had to check for more. We found some more civilians a few minutes later. We rounded the corner into a courtyard. It was large, mostly charred with a tower that somehow survived the fire in the middle. Rather than Darkeons or civilians, we saw some people in a white garb with bows. I thought railguns were the biggest ranged weapon to use! Maybe not, but first, we need to find out who they are and what they're doing here. However, both my group and the other group were looking at the top of the tower. I looked and what I saw makes me shiver to this day. A man, in black armor with a black sword with spikes and rubies in the blood groove, in between the spikes, was holding another man over the edge, with the same garb as the other group. There's only one person this could be. The Dark King. I slowly laid my hand on the hilt of my sword. I saw everyone else do the same with their weapons.

"Warrior factions of Sorardia!" The Dark King boomed. He swiveled four different ways. Wait, four? I looked to the opposite side of the archers and saw another faction, this time with halberds, in blue armor. I looked in front of me to find what seemed to be another faction, but this time wizards, in various colored robes. "I'm sure my most known name needs no introduction! But my true name does! I, am Xerloso! My name in ancient Sorardian only translates into more ancient Sorardian, which is Nolite, which then translates to void! Fight me, and you will fall into the void! Don't, and you will be spared AND rewarded!" What does this guy think he can do? Throw us out of the Universe? Ha! No way he can do that! Not unless he summons voids! "The man I'm holding now, is known as Keyton the Air Archer! He chose to fight my glorious form and will now be used to make an example!" I saw a single Air Archer, I suppose that's what they are, nock an arrow into his bowstring and draw it back. He was in the back and obviously had some skill with it to be this brave. I looked at Cleaver and found him looking at me. We both understood what needed to be done. He walked away from our group and I saw the halberdiers, archers, and mages watching him, a look of disgust on their faces. After a few more minutes of the Dark King's long, boring, and quite honestly annoying speech, I saw Cleaver walk to the back of the halberdiers and whisper something into someone's ear. He nodded. Few minutes more of the speech and he was with the mages. He did the same thing, and got another nod. Soon I heard something I didn't realize Cleaver could do. He connected me with his mind and the other people's.

"Everyone ready?" he asked telepathically. We all said some form of confirmation. "Good. Shoot when the air archer does." He was right behind me by then. The Dark King continued the speech annoyingly.

"Now I will show you what exactly will happen to those who oppose me!" I soon saw the light draining from the area around Keyton. The air archer fired, followed by Cleaver and the others. The Dark King dropped Keyton, and I ran to where I thought he would land. Then I knew I wouldn't be enough to stop him from dying by fall. Fortunately, a warlock in purple robes ran to where he could see Keyton, did a magic jump, caught Keyton and landed on the ground.

"Continue your search for survivors! We cannot let the Xerloso kill anymore people!" He said, as I got a good glimpse of him. He had a black mustache and very short beard of the same color. He also had green eyes. Wait a minute. Green eyes? The only person with those is Nathan! So then that must mean...huh. Well right now isn't the time to be surprised. I need to focus, and keep reaching for survivors. Then an air archer came over.

"I hope you two can help with defense because we have someone coming after us!" He said, then pointing to the top of the tower. There were men all around, in black armor, unlike the ones from before, but this time, someone else was with them.

"Get your leader, or whatever he is to a defensible position!" I commanded the archer. "Me and my friends'll deal with Xerloso!" I ran to Cleaver and the others. Then that's when all the new enemies jumped down.

When the new enemies jumped down, we ran to help the wounded archer. But we were too late. They blocked our way out. Soon four of the black soldiers had swords to the necks of the two air archers, the Mage, and Fire. "Attack and these four will die!" The leader said. He had an odd looking scimitar, with what looked like the head of a mace behind the hilt. He looked up. "Ahhh, Amos! How surprising to see you this early! I thought you would have some trouble with Ben! Well now that you're finished you can join our army!"

"I'm not here for the army Wosomantu," a voice said, I think it's Amos, whoever he is. Then a jetpack clad, railgun sniper landed in front of me. "In fact I'm here early because I'm going to make sure you don't kill them!" Wosomantu looked at Amos with disgust. Then motioned for all the rest of his soldiers to walk over to where he was, putting the prisoners in the back. Then another figure jumped down from a building. Ben!

After jumping from the roof, I snuck up behind the four captors. I looked behind me and saw something rather interesting. One of the halberdiers was walking behind me. He nodded in greeting then continued. We were both behind the four captors, then we both sprung up from our crouch and bashed all four captors' heads into each other, two for me and two for the halberdier. This caused some chaos among the new enemies. Soon I had pulled out my Escrima and the halberdier his halberd from his back. We started plowing through the enemies quite quickly, and Amos flew up and started firing at the enemies. We still didn't have a name for them. Guess we'll need to find out soon enough. But now isn't the time. Soon I had reunited with the others.

"Nice to see you guys waited," I teased.

"Thought you were still with us," Cleaver retorted playfully. "Guess we were wrong!" He started dueling an enemy with a spear, taking him down in about three seconds.

"Just so you know, Amos should be joining us," I informed, brusquely disarming another enemy. He had an axe. Then two swordsman came after me. I locked my Escrima into a staff and blocked both swordsmen's blows, downward strokes, then flipped backwards, kicking both if the fools in the chest, hopefully knocking the breath out of them. Then another enemy, the one with the odd scimitar, mace combination, charged me. I dodged, but somehow his blade turned into a full mace. That can't be Changi though. Must be some other magic because I didn't see any slots for a chip on either form. Wait...could it be a magic combo of a scimitar of some element and a mace of some element? That must be it. I caught the mace from hitting me by moving towards his hand, catching the pole of the mace, then bringing my staff downwards onto his arm. He yelped, let go of the mace and held his arm. Guess I either broke or fractured it. He looked at me with a rage that could cut the metal of a Changi Blade. Then Cleaver came and cut the man's arm. He immediately went unconscious...until about fifteen seconds later, he got up and teleported away somehow. "Well I guess that's done. Back to Svictoran then?" I asked.

"Yes," Cleaver replied. "After we meet the other factions." He walked towards the Air Archers.

"Good afternoon," I said to the faction. They looked towards me.

"What do you want? You left after the first section of his stupid speech, you coward!"

"Apparently you didn't see me go to the other factions, and fire my railgun at him," I replied, a bit irritated. "I am no fool. Why? Because I am the Cleaver Knight, and any life I can save I value." They looked at me. Then the leader, Keyton, walked up to me.

"So you are the one that basically decimated some of the enemies that came and captured me and the other three?" He asked.

"Yes," I replied

"Good. May I present you with the Pulse Bow," he said, before getting a bow from one of his archers. Must've been one of the higher ups. "This bow can do multiple things. It can restart a heart, electrocute enemies, and power mechanical devices. This bow is a sacred treasure to the air archers. Use it well." He gave it to me.

"Thank you."
