Chapter 4

In the morning the sun was shining the birds were chirping it was great we took a long walk to the river played in the forest then mom left to go into town to find a pay phone to call my father but nothing good ever came out of that. When she came back she looked more angry then ever my father was busy and he said that in a week he would find us a rental home to live in until we found a permanent house. I was getting to be a little impatient with my father I think everyone was what were we supposed to do for a whole week in the rainy, buggy, cold, dirty, woods. I ate another protein bar then went back to bed. For an entire week we basically did nothing and it was the most boring week of my life other then maybe when mom teaches us math and yes I am home schooled. Finally we got a letter it was from my father with joy we opened it. "I found u a house!!!" The first sentence said woohoo!! We a yelled and screamed we are getting out of this awful place! The next sentence started with a "but" I knew it was to good to be true we kept reading "but there is one tiny problem... The house is pretty far it's in New York City" this was my mothers worst nightmare she absolutely could not stress enough about how much she hated the city that is why we lived in the middle of nowhere my mothers face looked shocked her eyes wide and her jaw hanging low. " I will have you on a plane Tomorrow night I packed some money for a cab to the airport behind this letter fly safe and I will send another letter when you arrive containing the address and directions thanks enjoy!" I was beyond excited but my mom looked like she was going to explode with anger. "Yes a real home go d-a I stopped my sentence their. My mother glared at me "what did you say?" "Uh nothing I just said nothing" "we're you going to call him dad he has not been your dad since the day he stepped out of that front door to LEAVE!" She said as her face turned red. "I'm sorry dear I didn't mean to fly off the Handel I was just angry at your father you know how I feel about the city."
