Chapter 10

The night was great and peaceful until the morning. Linda woke me up to get ready for school. I hate school I never want to go there again! Today was awful like always the principal came into the room and told me my brother was sick and it is highly contagious and they wanted to make sure that I didn't have it, I didn't but when I got back from the school nurse no one would sit, talk, or even stand beside me. They all laughed pointed and told basically everyone in the entire school. I spent my lunch and recess's with Ted, no surprise. I walked home no one was there like always. I looked at my pictures and cried as always. I tried to forget about my awful day and listened to music as always. That's it I do the same thing every single day and I'm done with it! Tonight I do something different. When Linda got home I told her that I wasn't feeling well, I'm pretty sure she bought it. Later she came up to check on me as I predicted she would. Then I placed three large pillows underneath my blanket, grabbed to blonde dolls and placed them face down on the pillows. It looked foolproof. Step 2 in the plan getting outside I would sneak out a lot when I was at my old house just to get some air so I was kind of a pro at this. My window popped open easily and quietly. When I stepped on the roof I expected it to squeak but surprisingly it didn't. This might be easier then I expected. I slide down to the window and stepped on the sill. When I got down I ran then ran I wasn't going back there I never was! I went to a variety store down the street it had a few maps so I grabbed one. I was going to get Jack too. I walked to the bus stop I found my aunts house on the map my dad had given it to me in case I wanted to send him a letter. When I got there I skimmed the house I knew all the rooms inside because it was my aunts house. I also knew she kept a ladder in her shed it was tiny but enough to get me on to the roof I had to be careful not to go pest her bedroom. The recreational room was clear both couches too. Of course there he was sitting in the spare room on the bed I knocked quietly. He looked up and was in shock I thought he was going to pass out. I pointed to the window he opened it I motioned for him to stay silent and follow me. We crawled down the ladder then put it away we walked a few blocks there was a nice park bench, we sat. He looked up at me "you came for me why you'll get in trouble?" "I needed to see you we are not going back there we are leaving to live by ourselves." "How?" " well I have a some money and we can steal the shed from auntie Leslie's house she won't mind. Then we'll live in the woods until I can find a job and we can make money and we will prove to everyone we can live by ourselves." "This is absolutely crazy." "Well we are doing it" I screamed. " tonight we steal the shed a put it in the woods then tomorrow we will live out there. The plan went well and we will continue it tomorrow.
