Taking a deep breath I prepare myself for the fight. I know that I will have to finish it quickly, I do not have any stamina, and my nightgown is a hindrance, it is too long and difficult to move in. The crew have moved around us making a semi-circle, I can hear them making bets and most are against me.

Coming to a decision on how I should attack I quickly drew my Rapier and slash at the leather straps of Rafe's sword, robbing him of his sword. I lift the point of my sword to his neck and step closer to Rafe, for every step I take he takes one back until he is backed against the railing and the tip of my sword is pressed against his throat.

"Do you concede?" Rafe's eyes are wide, but not with fear but pride.

There was clapping coming from behind me. Never taking my eyes off of Rafe I ask, "Do I win? Am I free to leave?"

Captain White is laughing, it compels me to look at him. Which is a mistake on my part, for as soon as I took my eyes off of Rafe, he deflects my sword and takes his back from me. I try to take a step back but my nightgown stops me short.

"That was a wonderful Attack. You, my girl, are a pirate at heart. Only a pirate would pull a sneaky move like that." The captain yells out to me, with glee.

Frowning I Parry with the Forte of my sword, then by sliding my feet across the smooth deck I put some distance between us. Feeling along the grip of my sword I press down on the smoothest part and after a small click a stiletto dagger pops out of the pommel. Using the stiletto dagger I make a slit in my nightgown from the hem to my hip. I cringe at the whistles and cat calls, since I hate to wear undergarments my entire leg is exposed.

"My, my, my Regina what lovely legs you have." The captain is starting to piss me off.

The good thing about my leg being exposed, besides the free movement it allows, is it provides a distraction every time my leg appears out of the slit. I switch my sword back to my right hand, and I hold the stiletto dagger in my left hand where the blade is snug against the side of my wrist.

Dragging his eyes away from my exposed skin, Rafe Advances on me. With one foot slightly in front of the other, I hold my ground. "Florentine." It wasn't a question, Rafe was only referring to the fact that I am using two weapons at the same time. Again there was pride in his eyes. "You are a woman of many talents."

Heavy and slow or soft and fast?

Strengthening my grip, I go for the heavier slashes that will cause more damage. Rafe is able to Parry my Advances but does not make a move to Attack. Slightly put off I take two steps back and watch him. Does he want me to win, or is he tiring me out?

I switch my sword hand again. I am ambidextrous, I can use both my right and left hand equally. Surprise brighten Rafe's eyes. Widening my stance, I let my leg slip out of the slit and as Rafe's eyes track the movement of my leg I attack. My movements are faster when I use my left hand and added with the distraction of my leg, Rafe's Parry turns into a Mal-pare' meaning his Parry fails and my attack lands. I cut him from his right shoulder, across his chest, and ending at his hip.

"You are lucky that I switched my sword hand, if I had been using my right that cut would be deeper." I smile sweetly at him.

Rafe glares at me, his left hand holding his shoulder where the cut is deepest. He rips his ruined shirt from his body. I quickly look away from his well defined body. "What is the matter? My little Queen never seen a mans body before?"

Anger and embarrassment color my cheeks as I turn on the captain. He is lazily leaning against the railing on the quarter deck. As he smiles down at me I throw my stiletto dagger at him, it buries into the wood trapping the sleeve of his shirt. I point my sword at him. "Shut your damn mouth, no one asked for your commentary."
