Chapter 6
[Julie]
When we got out the car, I noticed two things, first, when Hailey and Paige got out of the car, I noticed what they were wearing, Hailey was wearing a black denim skirt that reached her mid thighs, and a bright red shirt, that showed her beautiful curves and her long brown wavy hair was falling beautifully on her shoulders that almost reached the end of her back. She had applied some light makeup, she looked really beautiful.
On the other hand Paige was wearing faded blue jeans and a black hoodie, her hair was tied in a messy bun, and she had no makeup on, none what so ever, I chuckled, that’s soooo like our serious Paige, but still, she looked nice.
The second thing I noticed was where we were, I was so sucked up in our conversation earlier that I didn’t notice where we were heading, we were standing in a parking lot and when I looked around, I was mesmerized by the view, it was an open field, there were some trees here and there, and there was this big stage, almost 15 yards away, this field is huge, but what caught my eyes was the setting sun, the sky was orange, there were few clouds up in the sky, it was amazing, it even made the field look more beautiful.
We started walking into the field, chatting about how Hailey was excited about us being here, typical Hailey.
I looked around, with a small smile on my face. There wasn’t allot of people here, but I have a feeling that in matter of hours we won't be able to put or feet on the ground, if this band is as good as Hailey tells me.
when I turned my head to the right, my smile faded away and turned into a scowl, I noticed allot of boxes of beer, and some people already getting drunk, and laughing their asses off, anger started building inside of me, memories flashing back, one after another, I just wanted to march up there, and grab all those boxes and dump them in the river.
''Julie!'' Hailey whined, I turned to look at her
''Hmm? Were you saying something?''
''Yes! Actually I was, but you weren’t listening at all!'' she folded her arms in front of her chest and started pouting like a three years old.
''what's wrong Julie, you have that face on'' Paige pointed out
''What face?'' I looked at her puzzled by her comment
''The 'you are pissing me off and I wanna punch you' face''
''What?! No I don’t have such a face'' I told her with a shocked expiration , I don’t have such face, or I don’t think I have.
''Oh yes you do'' they both commented in the same time.
''No I don’t!''
''Yes you do'' Hailey came to stand next to me, she started poking my cheek. And she threw her arm on my shoulder.
''What were you looking at anyway that got you so worked up?''
''Yah, you're not the type to get upset easily'' Paige looked at me with a worried look on her face, then she started looking around the field, and so did Hailey trying to figure out what was bothering me, they spotted the group of people who were getting drunk like their life depended on it, both their faces fell.
''Oh…'' Hailey eye guilt crept into her eyes.
''That's…'' Paige seemed to have a hard time figuring out what to say,
''guys this is okay, don’t worry about it'' I gave them a genuine smile, I meant what I said, am not going to let the past get to me now, not anymore, I decided that I want to move on.
