He ran faster than he had before, all I could to do was hold on. I couldn't even lift my head up to see where we were. I felt him leap and come to a stop. This time I was hanging on. He had begun to quickly climb up the side of the castle to my window. He gently pushed the window open and grabbed me with his other hand. He placed me onto the window sill. My eyes were wide from yet another exhilarating ride. I turned back to see that he was changing. I quickly jumped inside.

"I just wanted to say good night before I left you." He said softly. "So good night Princess." He gave me a kiss on the cheek, and leaned back out the window.

"Good night Bolten." I said still trying to process the whole thing.

It had only taken twenty minutes to get from the top of the mountain in to my room. He jumped as he was changing, disappearing into the darkness. I turned back to curl up in bed when my doors swung open.

"Kaliah!" My mother called frantically.

"I'm right here mother." I said, quickly pulling my hair back to hide how windblown it was.

"Where have you been?" She asked a mix of anger and worry in her tone.

"I've been in here?" I said feigning confusion.

"Oh, well. Did you bring the payment to the high priests?" She asked calming down.

"Yes, I had dropped it off with Phillip earlier this afternoon." I said smiling, and starting to change.

"Did he say he would need anything else covered?"

"He said he would let me know. He hadn't counted it when we had left." I pulled my robe around myself, and closed the window.

"I like seeing you acting like a responsible young woman. The people need to see that in the heir." She said coming over to me. She softly placed her hand on my cheek and smiled. "Now go to sleep dear. We are going to have busy days coming up."

"Okay mother" I said quietly and kissed her cheek.

She went to the door, and looked back with a smile. She quietly shut the door behind her. A few moments went by and I went to move to my bed.

"You are such a liar." Kain said dropping for the ceiling.

"What are you doing here?!" I said after containing the scream I almost released.

"I was worried about you. I hadn't seen you all day. I heard your mother coming down the hall so I hid. That's when you came in with ye old prince charming." He chuckled. "The wolf boy show you a good time?"

"What are you insinuating Kain?" I asked slightly angered by his tone.

"I just saw him kiss you good night is all." He grinned.

"That is none of your business." I glared at him.

"He is a nice boy. And while you were out gallivanting and having fun, we fixed up the manor." His grin changing to one of excitement. "I assume you will be coming by tomorrow?"

"I will see if I have the time." I joked, "The life of a Princess is so busy, what with politics and prince charming." I rolled my eyes as he burst out laughing.

"Maybe it would interest you to know that Dana was at the manor all day. She even brought Noel. Gave me a chance to apologize for the other day."
