I rolled over in my bed, half awake and looked to the window. It was well past half day judging by the light. I groaned and pushed my hair out of my face. I slowly climbed out of bed and stretched, my limbs sore from all the horseback riding. I sighed and quickly washed up. I got dressed slowly, and pulled my hair back into a pony tail.

I walked out of my room, reaching out to Kain. "Where are you?"

"Drayden and I are eating lunch with Leon." He answered confused. "Why?"

I quickly put up a wall like he had taught me, and walked straight to the dining hall. As I went to open the door, Calvin came up behind me.

"Well you look well rested love." He said smoothly. "I woke up to what I am fairly certain is the most beautiful kingdom I have ever seen. The sun shined so gracefully through my window."

"Thank you." I said, slightly taken aback by his comments. What's his angle...

"Joining us for lunch?" He asked, opening the door for me.

"As a matter of fact, I am." I said smiling, and walked in to find a new person sitting at the table. She noticed our entrance, and ran past me. She jumped on Calvin, enveloping him in a huge hug.

"Brother!" She squealed, "Five months is too long." She said smiling, dropping to the floor. She turned to me, with a wicked smile. "Ohhh, new girl. She smells good."

"Now sister, that's no way to introduce yourself to the Princess of this kingdom." Calvin said wrapping his arm around her and pulling her towards the table.

"So demi-god blood?" She said licking her lips sensually.

"Mera, control yourself." Kain said a slight hint of anger in his voice.

"Sorry" She mumbled and sat down beside him.

"Great of you to join us Kali." Leon said with a huge smile. He quickly pulled the chair next to him out, inviting me to sit down. I smiled at his full recovery and sat down next to him. "Did you sleep well?"

"Fine, too long honestly. Where is Dana? She never lets me sleep so long." I said as a servant brought over a large biscuit. I looked up with a smile, and realized I had never seen her before.

"I'm sorry, I don't believe we've met." I said looking at Leon confused. I knew every servant to ever serve these halls since I could remember.

"She is from my Kingdom. My ship arrived in the last hour." Drayden responded for her. "That is why we are graced by Mera's beauty. Or hindered, I'm not sure which." He said smiling at her.

"What a great compliment O'High Prince Drayden." She said barely containing her laughter. He glared at her and his hand twitched towards his drink.

"We are not going to start this again sister. We have company. I don't believe she would like to be covered in wine." Drayden said his smile falling slightly.

"You never let me have any fun. First you kept me out of the ruins of Calmier, then you didn't let me take that necklace of that pompous lady at the docks, now I can't even pick on you. What a drag you are." She said laughing.

"Always with the sticky fingers." Calvin laughed full heartedly.

I sat and watched the group continue to talk like that for a few minutes as I devoured my biscuit, realizing I couldn't remember the last time I had eaten. Who are these people? I have never seen Kain or Drayden act this way towards anyone in our kingdom, even me. It always seemed like a battle would be erupting at any second, and now they're so relaxed.
