-Cassia's Point Of View-
'Are you seriously sure about this?' asked Keiran. I rolled my eyes.
'That is the seventh time you've asked me. Yes, I am sure. It's not like I'll never see her again,' I said. I'm trying to be brave and not cry but every time I look at my horse I want to burst into tears.
'I guess you COULD visit. Look, ride her any time you like, okay? I'm sure this is just a time out. You'll want her back, Cassia, and when you do just give me ring okay? You can have her back whenever you want. Even if it's five minutes after I've left.' Keiran told me.
'Yeah, sure. Whatever. Just load her already!' I moan. Keiran gets my horse ready while I get her tack.
As I'm walking to the tack room I see Jessica Dorlesly and ... Oh my gosh! Is that Nicki Charleson? Back again? Nicki went to Londa Mc Doyle's stable. She said it was so she could ride better ponies and have better lessons. Nicki and her best friend, Jessica, were always mean and hurtful back then. When Nicki moved, Jessica was much nicer. We're now pretty good friends but I'm sure Nicki's return could ruin our friendship.
'Oh hello, CASSIDY,' Nicki grinned, deliberately getting my name wrong.
'Its Cassia, actually.' I grumbled, stomping to the tack room. I was so fussed then that I managed to drop the saddle on my foot. Clever.
Nicki had to be standing in the doorway, didn't she? She was laughing so much I swear I could see tears in her eyes. I glare at her before picking up the saddle, grabbing the bridle and pushing past her. Nicki went to the feed room, shaking her head. Jessica looked at me.
'Goin for a ride?' she asked. I shook my head.
'Kieran is here to collect my horse. Long story. Why did Nicki go to the feed room?' I asked, puzzled. Jessica looked over her shoulder, just as confused as I was.
'I have no idea. Anyway, see you later. I'd better catch up with her,' Jessica grinned before running off. Aww.
I carried on walking to the trailer and saw Kieran calming my pony down.
'What happened?' I asked. She was sweating and frothing at the mouth.
'I dunno. I just tried to load her but she wouldn't go in. Then those two girls came and one swung her whip around, laughing. Your pony spooked and here we are.' he explained. I nodded. That was so typical of Nicki.
'Cassia, has she had bad experience in a trailer? Because this horse needs to slowly be shown they're not going to hurt her,' kieran said, sighing. I sighed too.
This would have to wait.

'Can you just repeat that?' I asked, dazed. The woman sighed, sounding annoyed.
'I saw your video on YouTube about you falling off in the show jumping ring and now I'd like you to come and work at my farm.' she said. I was amazed.
This woman was Linda Mc Doyle, ex show jumper. She is so rich too! Heck yeah, I wanted to work for her. But what about mum and dad? What would they say? I bit my lip and stared out the window. Linda waited impatiently on the other end of the phone.
'Hello?' she asked.
'Umm... Okay. My answer is yes. Thank you!' I said, rather excitedly.
'Right, good. Start work tomorrow, be here for half five in the morning, understood?' she was very stern.
'Yes! Yes, I understand. See you tomorrow, then.' I hung up and danced around the house. Luckily, nobody was home to moan about me answering the phone or dancing around and showing myself up.
I shouldn't speak too soon.
'Cassia? Are you there? I'm sure I saw your bike outside!' it was mum.
'Yep. Just in here!' I called back. Mum came in. She looked excited.
'Okay, I know I haven't been a very good mum lately but just listen to this! I found you a job! I got to woman to ring you. Apparently, it's a stable. Linda or something? Whatever. She was looking for young people! Did she ring? Did you say yes? Oh please tell me you said yes! I also got some microwaveable popcorn. We can watch a movie!' mum babbled. I stood, shocked.
Mum asked Linda to ring?!
Mum was behind this?!
You can cook popcorn I'm the microwave?!
Wait, what?
'Yes. I mean, I said yes. I'm staring at half five tomorrow,' I say, following her into the kitchen.
'Thats good. Thank you, Cassia. We need the money and that is a good job for you. I mean, you won't be riding or anything so I'm fine with it. It's just your dad now... Ah, he'll be okay with it too,' mum said.
(TWO HOURS LATER)
'YOU DID WHAT?' dad shouted at mum. I turned away from them, biting my lip.
'I GOT OUR DAUGHTER A JOB WITH HORSES. OOOH, BIG DEAL, ISN'T IT?' mum shouted back.
'YES, ACTUALLY, IT IS A BIG DEAL. SHELL EARN ABOUT TWO POUNDS A WEEK, I BET!'
'Actually, it's three hundered pounds an hour if you must know,' mum whispered. Dad and I looked at each other.
We're going to be rich!
We're actually going to be rich!
OH MY GOSH!
Dad scooped me up in his arms and then grabbed mum too. We all hugged.
We are going to be rich. Very rich. Richer then anyone.
Richer then Nicki! She doesn't work there, she pays to ride there.
I'd better like this job.

Yay! Second chapter done! I hope you like it so far! Okay, I've got a looong way to go with this story and I'll try and get as many uploads done as I can.
This chapter is dedicated to Chloe from Abbeyfields Equestrian Centre in Hayes for letting me rider her pony, Lady Jezzable.
(Please note the whole novel is dedicated to my parents)
Also, please pray for Candy who is lame. I'm really worried about her :(
Put Speckles and Sparky in your prayers too as everyone at the stable is sure Sparkys not going to make it through the rest of this month and Speckles isn't going to make it through the year. Please pray for them three horses as they mean the world to me.
Keep smiling!
