-Cassia's POV-
'And fourth is Nicki Johnson on Misfit!' the man called out through the speaker. Nicki looked disappointed as she rode into the arena to collect her rosette.
It was not going well.
Today was the show and the minute I woke up, I knew it wouldn't go well. Nicki came fourth in show jumping and not even in the top four in dressage. Now, she got fourth in cross country again and it was nearly time to pack up. She came riding back, furious.
'Its not me, it's this horse. Misfit might be pretty but she's useless! It's also your fault, Cassia, because we would carry on with our training if you hadn't got Linda arrested. She's coming out soon anyway, I think she got bailed or something?' Nicki says. I sigh.
'Would you stop complaining? The only reason I agreed to do this was for you,' I say. Mack, the driver for us, yells at us to hurry up and so Nicki dismounts and we get Misfit ready for the journey.
Things have been pretty tough around the stable. Nicki does training on her own, even tacks up her own horses. But that's because I'm so busy with Moon now. Though I'm not making much progress. He does let me near him now but I can't get on him yet. Still, we have long grooming sessions.
When I got home that evening I was tired and fell asleep as soon as my head touched the pillow.
