~Teresa's POV~
If you wonder why I arranged a date between Anita and Nick,it was because for thanking him for rescuing me from the men. Nah, just kidding. I wanted to tease him. He's quite annoying sometimes. Teasing me with Ted, a boy in school. Both of them are best friends in school.
Wanna know how it happened when they took my-(our) parents? Here, I'll tell you. On that fateful day, my parents and I were having a meeting. I didn't know anything about it, but I didn't want to talk with Nick's friends and let them have fun. The Elders were disscusing about the enviroment these days, as it is very polluted. I sat in the meeting room, waiting for the meeting to end. Suddenly, an explosion rocked the building, destroying it in one shot.
Screams filled the hallways and everyone started filing into the emergency staircase. As we were running, some masked men crowded around us and started to shoot in the air.
"Surrender or fight!" One of them said.
"Fight! Fight! Fight!" Came chants of the elders.
"You want to fight?" asked the man.
The elders all nodded except for my parents and me.
"You made a good choice, family. Follow us." After that, they had bound and gagged us. Some of the others also joined us and the men did the same to them. I heard screams from inside the building.
I managed to spit out my gag. "What's happening inside the building??" I asked one of them.
"It's none of your business, girl." he replied roughly. With my gag not on, I gave myself the opportunity to call Nick's name.
"Nick!"I cried. He answered, but I couldn't here his voice over the strong wind. A few minutes later, I saw Alyssa, Nick and Dexter hiding behind a pillar. The men tied blindfolds over our eyes. I felt the strong breeze. I heard an airplane land on the grass and waited for me to be carried into it. However, I was left untouched.
"Leave the sister here as a reminder," said the man's rough voice again. I think they boarded the plane, leaving me on the grass. Nick ran to me and started untying me.
"They're coming," I reminded him and I collapsed.
I woke up on my bed. I peeked out my door and saw Nick standing anxiously. I wanted to ask him, but I felt so tired that I flopped down on my bed again.
