Balthazar Preference: Protecting You

Balthazar is known for being a witty angel filled with an encyclopedia of snarky remarks, and an ego that tends to expand for miles; however, he also has a hidden trait that only seems to emerge when you find yourself in a particularly sticky situation.

When you find trouble with a demon... or a creepy drunk at some shady bar, that blond haired angel seems to appear out of nowhere, angel blade in hand, ready to strike.

Hell... on most occasions, Balthazar shows up before you even have the chance to send a prayer in his direction.

"[Y/N]..." he'd begin, strolling up beside you with just the slightest amount of swagger. "Have you ever looked at someone and wondered, 'how in the world does this person breathe unassisted?'"

Glancing in the direction of your petrified assailant, you'd flash a smirk before leaning into Balthazar when he'd wrap a strong arm around your shoulders.

"I have..." he would admit with a dark chuckle, twirling the angel blade between his nimble fingers. " ...and normally, I'd just wait for Karma to do her job." Peering upward, you'd scrunch your eyebrows, watching as pure anger caused Balthazar's features to twist. "However, this isn't a normal situation, [Y/N]..." he'd continue, tightening his grip on the blade. "...and Karma takes much too long." Placing a kiss to the top of your head, the zealous angel would release you, puffing out his chest as he neared your attacker. "Plus, I'd rather beat the crap out of this fool, myself."
