Niecey. . .
My phone rang to see Shawny's pic on the screen and the song 'Girl" by Destiney's child.
"Wassup Shawny?"
"Why you whispering?"
"I'm trying not to wake up Liah or Hakeem."
"Where you at?"
"Home. Hakeem went to sleep in the bed so I guess he's staying the night and something was up with Frankie. She was acting nervous and stuff then said she had to go somewhere so I'm watching Liah."
"Oh, well I have some good news."
"What is it?"
"Chris. He asked me out tonight."
"Really? About time. Y'all have been in love forever."
"Right? But, yes I'm on cloud nine."
"Well, I'm happy for you." Hakeem woke up being a pervert. He kissed me on my neck and cheeks. "Stop Keem."
"Oh he up?"
"Yes he is. Being a pain in my ass." He smiled and tounge kissed me.
"Ewww, y'all only been dating for 2 months." He licked my neck and I was ready to fight him.
"Shawny, I gotta call you back." I didn't even wait for her answer before hanging up.
"Why you do that Hakeem?"
"I couldn't help it Bae." I got up and put Liah in her crib. To be only 2 months she was getting big.
"You are really good with Amelia. When you gone want kids?" His question threw me off.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean we gone be together for a long time. What age are you gone want kids?"
"Whenever God gives them to me."
"Mhmmm. I'm ready for your graduation."
"Ain't we all." We snuggled up on the couch until we fell asleep. About 2 hours laterI heard the door open and then close very lightly. Frankie was home.
"Fran-" I look up and see Frankie coming in with CJ holding her waist. What the hell. "Oh, hi CJ."
"Hey Niecey." They looked like a couple again. Frankie's eyes said she would explain everything so I left it alone. "Is that my nigga Hakeem?"
"Yes, it is."
"That's you?"
"Right again." I laughed because he was so serious.
"Well," Frankie interjected, "He wants to see Amelia then we're going to go to bed."
"She's sleep."
"That's fine. We won't wake her at all." She led him by the hand to the nursery.
"Going to bed huh?" I was being childish. She flipped me off. I laughed because I was so happy for her. I guess that's why she was nervous earlier. I got up and pulled Hakeem up with me. "Baby, get up."
"Why?"
"We going to get in my bed."
"Uugggghhhh." He got up and marched to bed like a little kid. I turned the TV and lights off then got our phones and pillow before heading to bed. When I passed by the nursey I heard CJ.
"She's so beauiful Fran. Thank you so much."
"Thank you for giving her to me. She looks just like you."
I was happy for them.
4 months later. . .
Graduation was finally over. I am so glad to be out of high school. All the drama and childishness can stop. I've been accepted into USC, University of Southern California and I'm so excited. Over the past 4 months things have been perfect. Me and Hakeem are 6 months strong. I'm moving in with him soon. Then there's Shawny. Her and Chris are always together. They can't get enough of each other. Frankie is doing very well for herself. She has enrolled into UCLA for classes. Her and CJ are back together and engaged. He works so she can go to school. Little Liah is 6 months old and already bossy. She's so spoiled. Tonight is the graduation party for Shawny and I. I can't wait.
"Niecey, where you at?"
"I'm in your room Keem." He appeared in the doorway of his room smiling. "Where you been all day? I woke up alone in the bed. That's how you feel?" I turned to face him from the mirror.
"I went to pick up your present DJ." He sat on the bed just grining . He reached in his pocket and tossed me some keys.
"What does these go to? A car?"
"Didn't I just help you get a new car 3 weeks ago?"
"Maybe." Well it ain't a car.
"Then no. Guess again."
"Baby, I can't." I pretended to pout like a little girl.
"Fine. You big baby. It's to our new condo."
"What!" I ran and jumped on his lap planting kisses all over his face. "Baby, you didn't."
"Yes, I did. Now get your fat self up." He slammed me on the bed and layed on me. "But, that's not it."
"What else?" I was excited like a kid at Christmas.
"Well actually there's three things. Two of them you will love but I don't know about one of your surprises. Sit up." He slapped me on my thigh and got behind me. He put a necklace around my neck. I looked down at it and it was a diamond heart. Beautiful. I kissed his ips and face over and over.
"I love it."
"Good, that's surprise one. Next, your mother is going to be at your party." My face dropped. She was at my graduation with Derrick but I avoided them both. I know I hurt her. But, theyhurt me.
"Why would you invite her Hakeem?"
"Baby, that's your mother and I told her not to bring Derrick to my house or we would have problems. I got you." I was really pissed that he went behind my back. But,then I remembered I had another surprise.
"So, I'm hoping that's the surprise I wasn't going to be excited about. What's my third?" He tackled me, pushing me back on the bed. He was in between my legs and kissing my neck.
"You'll get that gift tonight. It's been 6 months Bae. Time up." He was cheesing and biting his lip. He's lucky I love him.
