A week had passed and Mandy was still not talking to me. I gave her space, but I wanted to talk to her so bad. I was nothing without her and I came here because of her in the first place.
I wished to be sixteen again to be with her, spend time and make everything right. Not worse. I decided to get back to work in the bakery and get my mind off, just relax.
"There you go," I gave the lady her box of cupcakes and she walked away. Finally, I could stop fake smiling. I loved my job, but I wasn't in the mood at all.
Two little kids, a boy and a girl. They entered and walked to me, they were looking at different cupcakes in front of me. This time, a smile formed on my face and a real one. They looked so cute and reminded me of Mo and I.
I missed calling her that.
"Hi," The boy said.
"Hello!" I waved at them, they waved back with a sweet smile.
"Can I get a red velvet for Rose and chocolate cupcake for me, please?"
My eyes went slightly wide as I stared at them. Just like Mo and I. I always ate the chocolate cupcake and she ate the red velvet. I chuckled to myself and went to get their order.
"Have you heard about the shooting star?" My head snapped to the girl, Rose.
"No. When can we see it?"
"Yeah, when can we see it, Rose right?" She nodded with a smile as I got back and handed them the cupcakes.
"Tonight. Everyone is waiting for it to wish for something."
"Thank you so much!" They both ran out of the bakery and I followed them after I told Marie I was leaving and ran to Mandy's house.
I knocked on the door and her mum opened up after a few seconds.
"Oh hey, Harry!"
"Hi," I smiled and hugged her.
"Is everything okay?" She noticed how weird I was acting, I was so excited and nervous.
"Yeah, um... Is Mandy here?" Please, say yes.
"In her room, love. Come in!" I entered and followed her upstairs to her room. She knocked, but Mandy didn't answer. "She's probably on the roof or something. Just get in, love." I nodded and thanked her.
She walked away and I tried knocking again in case she was changing her clothes, but she would've answered, so I opened the door slowly.
"Mandy...?" Her mum was right.
She was on the roof, watching the sunset while listening to music. I smiled and walked inside, she looked like she wasn't in our world. Like she zoned out of it. I tapped lightly on her shoulder so I wouldn't scare her, her head turned around to face me.
"Hey," I said quietly.
I noticed that she was sad and her eyes were red and puffy. Was she still crying or something? She took off her headphones and stared at the sky.
"Are you okay?"
"The shooting star." I was taken back by her words. She knew?
"You know," I mumbled and sat beside her.
She started crying and I hugged her. She cried onto my chest and I was taken back again that she didn't push me away.
"I'm going to miss you."
"No, you won't." She looked up.
"How? You're going back, right?" I didn't answer, but she took it as an answer. "See, you are! That means no more us."
I pulled back and smiled.
"Don't worry," I wiped her tears and she raised her eyebrows in confusion.
"Why are you smiling?"
"Because I came her to say goodbye for now." I leaned in and kissed her cheek. "We will meet again," I whispered.
Her brown eyes were locked with mine and before she could speak I kissed her lips. I was going to miss them - if the wish worked. I was going to miss her, but I was going to keep this promise.
I pulled away, "I promi-"
"Just like the last time."
"No, it's not! I came here to kiss you for now, to hug you for now. But I swear and promise I will make everything right, in the future." I felt like she believed me. "Do you trust me?"
She smiled and that was the answer. She leaned and kissed me, "I trust you and love you so much," She whispered against my lips.
"I love you too."
**
"Okay, only a few minutes," Mandy said as we stared at the sky.
I was nervous and excited at the same time.
I missed the boys and the fans. I missed my future crazy life and I was ready to face anything. I wasn't going to care or waste my time.
Being sixteen again, taught me a lot of things. It was a great experience, for the second time.
"Do you think if I make a wish, it would come true?" She turned her head to face me.
"Of course, wishes come true. Anytime, Any day." I looked at her as she smiled.
We looked back at the sky for my heart to jump and beat faster. Here it was, the star. My wish. My last chance.
"Make a wish, Styles."
So... I have a sad ending and a happy ending... you choose?
If you read my books then you know I hate cliche endings and I have my own crazy twists so... You won't change my mind, but I would like to know haha.
