Collin's POV
"He's such a jerk." Zoe mumbled after Sebastian left. I scoffed.
"Did you just now realize that?" I reply, shaking my head. "He's always been a jerk to me. He thinks he's better than everyone!"
"Yeah, Collin. I know." she says. After a few minutes of silence, I speak up.
"We should probably get back inside the borders now." I say. She twists her head in my direction, and her eyes are wide.
"No!" she exclaims. "This is great, I've never been outside of the borders before."
"Zo," I said, calling her by the nickname I use. "It isn't safe, and we don't even have a satyr with us."
"Fine." she snaps. "Go inside if you want to, but I'm staying out here."
"Zoe, come on." I say, reaching my hand out to her. She isn't paying attention. "Zoe."
"Shh!" she interupts. "I thought I heard something."
For a few moments we're both silent, listening. I'm about to give up when I hear a noise. It sounds like leaves crunching, and it's getting louder, faster.
"Zoe!" I yell desperatley. "We need to get inside right now!"
"I need to see what it is, though." she states. I grab her hand, trying to drag her back inside the borders, but she's too strong.
"Zoe," I cry. "Come on! Please!"
