A/N: Hey guys, I'm here again! I updated really early because I had a picture that I wanted to put as Zoe and I didn't want to lose it. So here it is... up above. Enjoy the story!
Zoe's POV
I walk along the pathway that leads to Half-Blood Hill. My best friend, Collin, walks besides me. Fire dances along his fingertips, as he hums a song.
"What are you humming?" I ask him. He shrugs.
"I don't even know. I heard my mom singing it this morning." he says. His mom is Calypso. I take one of my daggers out of my belt, spinning it absentmindedly.
"What lessons do you have today?" I ask him. He laughs.
"Archery." he says. I shake my head.
"I suck at Archery." I say, laughing. Suddenly, I hear a familiar voice behind me, and heavy footsteps.
"Just like your father." my dad says, shoving Collin out of the way so he could stand between us.
"Daaad." I whine.
"What?" he asks innocently. Collin opens his mouth to speak, but my dad shoots glares at him. He takes his pen, Riptide, out of his pocket. Collin's eyes widen.
"You know, I think Archery has already started. I gotta go! By Zoe, by Pe-" Collin recieves more glares. "Bye Mr. Jackson!"
"Dad, that's my best friend. Why do you always chase him away?" I ask my dad. I don't care if I sound whiny.
"It's my job." he shrugs. "Now put that dagger away before you stab yourself."
I roll my eyes, sliding my dagger back into it's sheath. As we reach Half-Blood Hill, I see Sebastian, my big brother, with his girlfriend-a daughter of Aphrodite. Her name is Fiona. I hate her.
By a near tree, I see Piper and Jason's daughter, Mary-Jane, staring at them coldly. Her choppy brown hair blew everywhere. It was pretty windy today.
"Sebastian. Let's go." my dad says, pulling Sebastian away from Fiona. "You'll be late to your first lesson."
I hear footsteps behind me.
"Sounds like someone I used to know." says a woman's voice. I turn around to see her.
"Momma!" I yell, running to give her a hug. My dad stares at her coldly, a look resembling Mary Jane's.
"That person is gone, Annabeth." he says, grabbing Sebastian's arm. "Let's go." he tells his son.
My mom sighs.
"He hasn't been the same since that day." she mutters, turning around and going to teach the other young demigods about how to read in greek.
