After Lucy grabs her last box from her room, she closes her door and sighs. "I'm ready."

"Right then, let's go." I say, looking around once more and making sure I have everything.

Jonathan and I are now officially divorced, and we sold the house. The hilarious thing is, when Lucy and I started packing to move, I discovered a hidden briefcase in the closet, it was full of money. Apparently, Jonathan had a secret stash, and left behind £20,000.

Oh, well. It's mine now, you wanker.

After placing Lucy's box in the back of the car, we head off to our new apartment. Once we had arrived, I started unpacking everything for the kitchen, whilst Lucy unpacked things for her bedroom.

After unpacking for three hours, I decided to take a break and bake some cookies for the neighbours. I've always loved meeting new people.

"Lucy, would you like to come with me to meet our neighbours?" I shout from the kitchen.

"That's okay, mum! I'm busy with my bookshelf right now!" I hear her reply from the other side of the apartment.

I shout back 'okay,' and place the cookies on a large platter. Then, I'm out the door.

After meeting multiple new people, I decide one more person would be enough. Besides, I only have one cookie left.

I knock on the door, and anxiously await to find out who lies behind it. When it opens, I'm surprised to see a familiar face. "Phil?"

"Melody?" He replies in the same tone of voice, smiling. "What are you doing here? How did you...find out where I live? Are you-"

"-No, no, Phil. It's not like that. I just moved in and had no idea you lived here."

"Oh, okay..." He goes from looking at me to the last remaining cookie on the platter.

"I made cookies for my new neighbours. Therefore, you may have the last one." I smile and hold the plate up.

"Thanks." His eyes light up and he grabs it, taking a bite. "So, I wonder what Lucy is going to think when she finds out I live in the same apartment as her."

"I don't know," I say, laughing.

"You don't think she would do anything like, expose my address, do you?"

"Of course not. You have nothing to worry about."

He nods, "Would you...like to come in for a bit?"

"Oh, I'd love to, Phil, but I should get back. Maybe you could come over. I'm sure Lucy wouldn't mind."

"Alright, I'll be over in a few minutes...and thanks. It's been kind of lonely."

I give a small frown, "I understand."

"Thank you again for the cookie."

I nod, and he shuts the door. I spin around and make my way quickly down the hall.

"Lucy!" I say excitedly, heading for her room.

"What?" She asks, sounding slightly aggravated.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing, it's stupid."

"You can tell me."

"It's just that I don't know if I'd rather arrange my books in alphabetical order, by colour, or from tallest to shortest..."
