"...Do you and Lucy want to move in with me?"
Phil had asked the question moments ago. I bit my lip, pondering the question before opening my mouth, only to be interrupted.
"I mean, if you don't want to, that's alright, it was just a suggestion. But I'd hate to watch you struggle with finding another place to live, Melody."
"...You're absolutely sure that you don't mind if we move in?"
He sighs, almost sounding relieved that I'm thinking about moving in with him. "Of course I don't mind. If you move in, it would be like the first step of..." He stops mid-sentence.
"The first step of what, Phil?"
"...Of becoming a family."
I become teary-eyed and I nod, leaning in and hugging him. "Tomorrow when I get home, I'll tell Lucy we're moving in with you. I'm sure she'll be excited." I lean back and wipe a tear away.
"Don't cry," he says, pulling me back in to hug me again.
"Being with you in the future, the three of us together...it just sounds so perfect."
"I know it does," he leans back just enough to see my face, and he smiles, wiping another tear. "I love you."
Before I get a chance to say it back, his lips are on mine. He pulls me onto his lap, and I wrap my arms around him. Minutes pass and our small kiss has turned into a make out session, until I finally lean back, smiling. "I love you, too."
"I wish we'd kiss like that more often." He says, leaning down to kiss my neck.
"Hey," I say, leaning back.
"What?" He frowns.
"If you leave another mark, I swear to god, I'll-"
"-Okay, Melody, chill." He chuckles, leaning in again.
I sigh, resuming the movie to enjoy it by myself since Phil is too busy enjoying my neck.

The next morning, I wake up and Phil isn't next to me.
I lean up and look around the room, "Phil?" I wait for a few seconds. No response.
I groan and stand up, walking out of the bedroom. "Phiiiil," I sing his name and there's still no response. I check the bathroom and kitchen, where the hell is he?
I find a note on the table in the dining area.
Went to go buy pancake mix to make you breakfast. <3 I'll be back by 10.
Aw, he is just too sweet. I check the clock, it's 9:30. Might as well go and shower to pass the time.

About an hour passes and Phil and I are sitting at the table having pancakes.
I sigh happily as I think about the future, "You know, since your job is YouTube, and you don't have to actually leave for work, I'll be waking up next to you, taking Lucy to school, and then I'll come back and you'll still be here. I'm not used to it, but it sounds nice."
