Sebastian Carico has been lazily playing with his lunch for the last five minutes until Paula and her group - Sebastian likes to call them fakers - joined their table for the usual lunch time flirting.

He was definitely getting tired of this routine. Of the food. Of the table. Of the crowd. And most specially, of Paula. Yes, she was his girlfriend. But not because he wanted her to be. She just kind of threw herself all over him. And the boys on his team we're all telling him to take her.

That's one weakness he has in him. He can never say no to his group. He can never tell them what he thinks. He just can't. And it's making his life all the more miserable each day. He feels like he's an actor on some sort of theater play.

"Hey, Sebastian, honey. What's up?" Paula cooed

"Huh?"

"What's up with you lately? You've been spacing out often."

"Nothing."

"Wanna go to my house tonight? My parents are flying off to Paris for a month. We'll have the house to ourselves." Paula whispered sexily in his ears.

"I don't think so. I have to run an errand for my dad. Maybe next time." Sebastian replied.

"Oh that sucks. Maybe next time then. We have a month anyway."

Sebastian's mind started drifting again. Sure Paula's satisfying his physical needs. She's good at sex. But that's just it. She can only do so much. When he tries to strike a sensible conversation with her, she'll deject it. He can't talk seriously without her combing her hair, applying lip gloss, or texting on her cell phone. She just doesn't want to listen at all.

And Sebastian wanted a good listener. Someone who'll listen to him talk about his inner thoughts. The thoughts that he can never reveal to anyone.

His gaze landed on the table at the far right corner of the room. He saw Nick and Karen eating lunch along with Sam.

He felt slightly jealous of Nick for even though he's on the basketball team and almost the same clique as him, he never allowed others to control his decision. He still went for the people whom he genuinely feels happy being with.

I wonder how it feels to be in a real group with people who really care about you. Sebastian thought nonchalantly.
