"What if he falls for her?" Sam though out loud.
She has been restless from the moment she entered her bedroom. She decided on taking a nap before going over her assignments but even the fluffy blanket couldn't calm her nerves. She's too stressed and it's just the second day of school.
She has to admit, Karen being Sebastian's Juliet bothered her. It's not that she thinks of Karen wrongly. It's just that they have no control over the situation. What if Sebastian actually falls for her friend?
Karen is one of the hottest girls in campus.
Sebastian is the hottest guy in campus.
"Sounds like a perfect match to me!" She muttered under her breath
Thinking about Sebastian and Karen made her feel stupid. Why was she stressing anyway? It's not like she was his girlfriend or anything, right?
She turned on the TV and started flipping through random channels. She decided on watching an episode of Gossip Girls. Why can't she be like the girls in that show who gets to date the guys they want? Life is seriously unfair.
She was just about to doze off to sleep when her phone began ringing.
"Hello?" Sam answered groggily
"Sam? Did I wake you up?" It was Nick.
"Hey Nick. Not really. What's up?" Sam checked her watch and it says 9:47 pm.
"I was just wondering, have you heard anything about Paula lately?"
"Paula Schneider?" Sam was wide awake now.
"Yeah. That's her." Nick replied sounding really calm
"Well, aside from her being the head of the homecoming dance there's nothing more I can remember."
"I see."
"Why'd you ask anyway?" Sam asked expectantly.
"It's nothing. Thanks. See you tomorrow at school." Nick replied still sounding neutral
"Whatever. Bye." Sam replied.
Sam tried to digest what had just happened.
Nick was asking about Paula Schneider.
He was, for some unknown reason, interested in her.
The thought made Sam feel weird.
First, it was Karen being paired with Sebastian Carico.
And now, Nick asking about Paula Schneider.
"What has happened to the world?!" Sam exclaimed

"Now class, I will be assigning you to your lab partners. You'll all be working in pairs and I expect you and your partner to work together as a team. If you have any violent reactions you can speak them out now."
Mr. Spencer smiled at the class expectantly. He was about to say something else when they heard a loud knock. All eyes in the room went to the guy standing by the door.
Sam was writing on her notebook when she noticed that the class fell silent. She followed their gaze and saw that it was because of the new guy standing at the doorway.
"Another newcomer." Sam whispered to herself.
The guy was definitely good-looking. Sam noticed that some of the girls were already gushing and whispering to each other. Great! Yesterday it was the new teacher. Today it's the new student! Sam thought
