Dangerous Game

The wedding

Maura's Point Of View:

Today is the wedding, and I am so nervous but excited. I was in my dressing room, with Jane. Jane was buttoning up my dress, while I put my lip gloss on.
"Maura?" Jane said
"Yes."
"You are my best friend. I am always going to be honest with you and I will always protect you. No matter what I am here." Jane said and I turned around and looked at her with a confused look.
"what's this about?" I asked
"Are you sure you want to do this? I mean, you just met him five months ago. It feels to soon don't you think you should wait a while longer?"

"Jane. I am happy, okay? When will you except that?"
"When you prove to me that you are falling in love with Dennis and not with being in love."
"Jane. You are my best friend and if I didn't want to do this...I would tell you." I said
"Okay. But if you need anything, call me. To be honest something doesn't feel right about Dennis. He feels I don't know...sneaky." She said
"You never liked him from the start." I argued
"Because I am in love with you!" She blurted out and I just started at her in shock.
"Oh my god, I'm sorry It just came out." She said
"Are you being serious?"
"Of course not. You are my best friend." She said and I kind of felt a little disappointed. Then there was a knock on the door.
"It's time! They wedding Is starting!" Angela said
"Okay. Let's do this." Jane said and we walked out

We got in our line, and first Jane walked down the aisles, followed by Dennis's sister. Finally the music began and I slowly walked down the aisles and stopped when I got In front of Dennis.
"We are gathered here today, to celebrate the love between two people. If anyone has any objections to the marriage between Maura Isles and Dennis Rockmond, please speak up now." The priest said and everyone one was silent.
"Okay, then let's get started. Maura and Dennis took the time to write their vows." He said
"Dennis, I know this all came together quickly, but it feels right with you. I never thought that I would be the person to have a family. But when I met you, I knew that, that would all change. I love you." I said
"Maura, I knew that when I looked into your eyes, that you where the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I love you and Jacob as if he is my own. I promise to take care of you and comfort you through everything." He said and then I suddenly got this vibe that he was lying but I though that maybe it was just butterflies.
"By the power vested in me and the state of Massachusetts, I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride." He said and he leaned in and have me a passionate kiss.

Everyone started cheering, and the two of us walked down the aisles hand in hand. While everyone was going to the reception, we took our wedding photos. About ten minutes later, we walked into the reception.
"Now please welcome the new bride and groom for their first dance as a couple." The DJ said and we walked into the middle of the dance floor.

Jane's Point Of View:

The song Like I'm Gonna Loose You came on, and Maura and Dennis started slow dancing. They where whispering into each other's ears and giggling. Something is off about Dennis I just can't put my finger on it. Maybe I am just jealous that I can't be with Maura. After the song was over everybody started clapping. I had Jacob on my lap, when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned my head and saw Maura standing there.
"Can I see him?" She asked. I handed him to her, she walked back to her table.

Then music started playing and everyone started dancing on the dance floor. I was playing with my food with my fork, when I was greeted by a face.
"Hey Jane." Dennis said
"Hi." I replied giving him a small smile.
"I just wanted to get to know you better, since we will be seeing each other a lot." He said I turned around to make sure Maura was no where in sight before I did something I may regret.
"Okay listen here, Maura is my best friend and I am protective. So if you every hurt her, I swear to god I will personally pull the trigger on you...literally. I don't know what you are trying to do, but whatever it is, you won't get away with it." I snapped
"Jane, I don't know why you are having such a hard time excepting us."
"Because I can tell that you are gonna hurt her one way or another. You don't know anything about her and she doesn't know anything about you. You guys are practically strangers towards to each other." I snapped before grabbing my stuff and walking out of the reception.

Maura's Point Of View:

I was talking to some friends when I saw Jane and Dennis talking. All of the sudden Jane grabbed her stuff and stormed off. I walked over to Dennis who was just dumbfounded.
"What happened?" I asked
"Jane said she wasn't feeling well." He said clearly lying.
"Oh, okay." I replied and we walked back to the dance floor. After the reception was over, everyone left and Dennis and I headed to the parked limo and head for our honeymoon. Angela was nice enough to watch Jacob for the weekend. I don't know what I would do without Angela, or that whole family.
