***Natsu POV***
It was true that I was heading to Lucy’s apartment, but I did want to tell my guild mates that. What was with them, trying to match me up with Lucy?
I had gotten to the Cathedral when I first smelled something was wrong. The stench was unbearable and smelled like rotten food and dry blood. I knew what it was I was very dark magic like Zeref’s magic on Tenrous Island. To make matters worse, the trail led straight to Lucy’s apartment.
‘Oh God, please don’t be hurt’ I thought to myself as I ran to Lucy’s apartment.
The sent was getting stronger and now I could smell human blood.
‘Oh God, please no!’ I thought running fast now.
When I got closer, I relieved. The blood wasn’t Lucy’s but at the same time …it was.
“What?”
At the next corner, I saw whose blood I had smelled. It was a blond woman with chocolate brown eyes and pale skin. She wore a dark hooded cloak and a sword at her waist. But one this could not be unnoticed, she has a huge wound on her stomach.
“L-Lucy?” I asked afraid that it was her.
The blond looked at me and said, “Who…are…you?”
I knelt down and whisper, “My name is Natsu Dragneel and I am a Fairy Tail Wizard. Look I can help you-”
“There isn’t time,” she cut me off “More will come and I can no longer protect her.”
“Who will come? Protect who?” I was puzzled.
“My...d-daughter, L-Lucy Heartfilia, the Shadow Lord wants her,” the woman replied before coughing up blood.
“Wait your Lucy’s mama?!?” I nearly screamed in surprised “Lucy said you died years ago,”
“You know Lucy?” the woman said surprised.
“She is my partner and a member of Fairy Tail,” I said “Look, she will be okay but let me take you to the guild. Please,”
Lucy’s mama shook her head and grabbed my arm, “No…c-can’t…don’t tell...L-Lucy,”
The woman was now covered in her own blood and I was getting scared. What would Lucy think if I let her mother die?
“My…time…i-is…al-lmost..u-up,” she whisper then held out a letter in a shaking hand. “P-Please…take this…to..your…m-master,”
I took the letter from her hands, trembling. I don’t like death. I have seen it before and I didn’t want to see it again.
“Promise me,” said she “That…she…will…be…safe,”
I nodded, “I promise. In Fairy Tail, we always take care of our nakamas.”
She gave me a nervous smile before drifting into death. Now I was alone with a dead body in my hands and covered in blood.
Oh crap, what should I do now?

***Mirajanes POV***
I gave a smile as I saw little Wendy and Romeo leave the guild together. They would make a great couple just like Natsu and Lucy. They are just in denial.
“Hey, Mira? Elfman and I and going home now,” I heard Lisanna say.
“Okay, do you mind helping Cana home? I think she is too drunk,” I asked.
“I am ‘hic’ not,” moaned Cana.
We ignored her comment. Sometimes I worry about her, but didn’t say anything as I cleaned her mugs.
“Bye, Mira. I am going to see if Natsu is at Lucy’s apartment,” Happy unfurled his wings and left.
Gradually, people let’s to go home, and soon it was only me and master Makarov. The Master had spoken all night, and it worried me.
“Are you leaving soon?” I asked.
He sighed, “I guess so. I was exspe-”
He stopped and then a sudden cold chill was felt in the air. It was so strong that I wanted to throw up.
“Master, is that..?” I didn’t need to finish.
“Dark magic and its heading this way,” he jumped off the counter, “Come on!”
I obeyed and ran out of the guild hall. We didn’t have to run too far before we saw someone.
“Are you ready?” the master said seriously.
I nodded, “Take Over: Satan Soul!”
Then I transformed into the she-devil and flew toward the person.
“AACK!!” I heard as I made a swipe but the person ducked.
“WAIT!! MIRA!!!! ITS ME!!!! NATSU!!!!! PLEASE DON’T KILL ME!!!”
I stopped and shouted, “Natsu?”
“What are you doing here, you brat?” the master grumbled.
“Gramps, I need to talk to you right now!”
I looked and saw a bloody and scared looked boy, one who was foreign to me. Natsu was always careful and happy.
“What is it, boy?”
“Come on!” he shouted, grabbed the masters hand and dragging him away.
I transformed back to my normal self and ran after them. Natsu led us right behind a store and that’s when I saw the mess. It was a blonde and a dark cloak lying in a pool of blood.
“Natsu…what did-” I began.
“I wanted to save her but she wouldn’t let me and then… well she…” Natsu mumbled.
“Spit it out,” the master yelled.
“ShesaidshewasLucy’smamaandthatsomethingbadwasafterherandmademepro-” he yelled.
“Natsu,” I grabbed his shoulder “breath then tell us, slowly,”
He told a deep breath, “She said she was Lucy’s mama and that something bad was after her and made me promise to protect Lucy and to give this to Gramps.”
He handed a letter to the Master and he told it and opened it.
“Wait, didn’t Lucy’s mom die years ago?” I asked.
“That’s what I thought but she smells a lot like Lucy,” he said.
I looked to see that the Master was shocked at the letter. His face drained of color while reading it.
“Natsu, why don’t you go see Lucy and make sure she is ok?” I advised.
“Okay,” he began to leave.
“Wait!” I grabbed his scarf, chocking him.
“W-What?”
I waved a hand over him and immediately the blood disappeared from his clothing and hands.
“There. I think we should also keep this a secret from Lucy for now, okay?” I tried to smile.
The pink haired wizard just nodded and then ran to Lucy’s apartment. Then I turned to the Master.
“Master…”
“Mira, please inform the priest at the Cathedral about the body. We don’t want others to know about it,” he said.
“Master, what is this about?” I asked.
He sighed, “I am not sure, but I have a hunch. I truly hope it’s wrong.”
