Dreams and Nightmares

No you can't!

Previously: Lucy leaves the guilds early because she isn't feeling well, so Natsu goes to check on her. He stops and finds a hooded figure bleeding in an alley...Lucy's mom. Natsu tells Mirajane and Makarov what happened then got to Lucy's. After teasing Lucy, Natsu suddenly assulted Lucy unknowingly. later Lucy starts to reseive horrible nightmare and Natsu is trying to comfort her...

*** Natsu’s POV***

I didn’t sleep that well that night since Lucy kept on whimpering as well as tossing and turning in her sleep, but I didn’t mind. I was in bed with my Lucy, and she had asked me to. The blond wizard looked so cute and fragile, sleeping in her sleep. When she started to cry, I would cradle her in my arms.

‘This is too good to be true,’ I thought to myself, ‘I must be dreaming. I mean why would she first just act like I didn’t hurt her then asked me for comfort.  How can I be that lucky to have a nakamas like Lucy?’

My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of ruffling wings outside the window and then a small knock.

I gingerly got up, trying not to wake Lucy, and opening the window. There a little blue cat flew in and sat on the bed.

“Natsu, where-” the cat began but I quickly hushed him.

“Happy, don’t wake her up,” I whispered.

Happy looked at Lucy and then at me.  Then he smile mischievously.

“So you did go to Lucy’s,” he purred.

“Not for Cana’s reason,” I said defensibly, “I just came to check on her. She seemed a little down at the guild.”

“Sure you did,” Happy teased.

“Why you-”

I looked to see Lucy whimpering and shivering in fear once more. I stopped talking to Happy and held the sleeping blonde in my arms.

“P-Please…st-top...I…Natsu…help…m-me,” she cried, still sleeping.

“Shh, don’t worry. I’m right here and no one is going to hurt you,” I said to her.

“I-t…hurts…Na…stu,” she squeaked.

I pulled her in tighter and rocked back and forth for a while. Happy looked up at me, looking a little startled and scared.

“Is Lucy alright?” he asked.

I paused at that what he said. No, she defiantly was not alright but who could I tell Happy that.

“She will be fine, just isn’t feeling well right now,” I assured the cat.

“Did she eat a bad fish?” Happy asked.

I chuckled at that, “Happy, just because someone isn’t feeling well doesn’t always mean they ate a bad fish.”

We sat there for a moment in silences before Happy said, “Should we get Wendy to heal her?”

“It’s just a nightmare,” I exclaimed. 

“Should I stay?” he asked giving me those cute cat eyes.

“No, you go back home. I doubt that I’ll get much sleep tonight,” I said.

Happy nodded then unfurled his wings and flew out the window. When he was gone, I laid down Lucy and I smuggled next to her. Nothing would hurt her as long as I’m here.

(The next day at the guild)

***Mira POV***

The guild was as wild as ever; Cana had her barrel and was drink. Wakaba and Macao were laughing and talking about old times. Jet and Droy were trying to win Levy’s heart, so was Happy with Carla.  Juiva was stacking Gray, and, of course, Natsu trying to pick a fight with one of the S class wizard.
