When we woke up the morning after both me and Angie had a major headache, and my sweet mom made us breakfast in bed, pancakes, tea and aspirin. After having breakfast and the aspirins started to work we changed into our bikinis. I put up my hair in a sloppy bun and took two towels before heading downstairs. Angie and I went out in my backyard and put us in the sun loungers. It was really hot outside today, perfect day for for sunbathing.
“I told you he likes you, do you believe me now?” Angie asks.
“No, I don’t. He was drunk and so was I, people do things they regret when they are drunk” I stated. And that’s what happened. I think. Brandon doesn’t like me, he can’t be into me.
“Do you actually believe that?”
“Yeah, I do” I reply. Sometimes Angie is to stubborn for her own good.
“My sweet, sweet Hales, the poor guy has a crush on you but you’re to blind to see it”
“He is not having a crush on me. Can we please change the subject?” I beg.
“Fine. My flight leaves at 8 pm and now it’s 12:34 pm, so what do you wanna do until then?”
“I don’t know, stay here or maybe go shopping. When is Ethan taking you to the airport?”
“Around six, and shopping sounds really good” Angie smiles, she really loves shopping.
“Can I come? I need new shoes and I can drive you there” My mom asks.
“That would be great Alison, we’ll be like the three musketeers” My mom shines up and goes back into the house to get ready. Angie and I ran upstairs to get dressed. I put on black denim shorts and a loose yellow tank top. Angie chooses a pair of white denim shorts and a pale pink shirt. When we came downstairs mom was already in the car waiting for us. We yelled good bye to Ethan before leaving.
Shopping had actually been fun, I bought one white bustier with studs and one black and a mint green shirt.
“Bye Angie I’m gonna miss you so much. Can’t wait until you’ll be back” I say with tears in my eyes.
“Don’t cry Hales, we can still talk on the phone and skype. And I’m gonna miss you too!” I don’t want our hug to end, cause that means she’ll leave.
“C’mon Angie, don’t wanna miss your flight” My brother says. Angie slowly lets go of me and wipe away my tears.
“Bye Haley, Bye Alison see you girls next time” She picks up her bag and wave before walking out to Ethan's car. And just like that she’s gone. I take a deep breath and I can hear them drive away. My mom puts her arms around me and I lean into her arms. My mom and I start to make dinner when my phone rings. I answer without seeing who the caller is.
“Hello”
“Hi Haley”
