Justin
"So, where does this leave us?" Pearl blurted out.
I looked up at her. Ever since we made the bet a few minutes ago, we hadn't spoken. We had just been eating, not saying anything to each other. I looked at Pearl's plate. Pearl was finished eating, while I was just about done.
"What do you mean?" I asked her, a little confused by what she meant.
"Like... if you're going to try to make me fall in love with you, which won't happen, doesn't that mean that you're going to have to stop hooking up with random girls?" Pearl paused for a moment. "Does that mean that we're... dating?" She looked... horrifed.
It was very amusing.
I smirked at her. "I guess it does."
As much as having to date her scared me, it'll be worth it when I win the bet.
Pearl folded her arms across her chest. "Won't that be torturous for you?" She questioned. "Just a minute ago you were complaning how boring it is to date a a girl."
"It'll be all right, I'll probably be able to make you fall in love with me before the summer is over, anyway." Pearl scoffed and shook her head. "And, besides, I really want to win this bet. I can totally do it."
Pearl gave me a look. "Yeah, okay." She said, sarcastically.
"You'll see. I'm going to win this bet and prove you so wrong."
"Doubtful. I just can't believe I have to date you! Ugh." I smiled at her.
"You agreed to it!" I reminded her
"I know, and I am regretting it more and more as the minutes go by!" I laughed.
I finished the rest of my breakfast, before I caught a waiter who had been walking around. I asked him if he could bill our hotel room, which he said he'd do.
Pearl and I stood up and started walking out of the dining room side by side.
I figured I might as well make my first move now, considering we are now dating.
That was so weird to say.
Dating.
I'm dating Pearl.
I have dated in so long.
But I have to win this bet! I have to prove to Pearl I can be an amazing boyfriend.
I'll do whatever I have to to make Pearl fall in love with me, even though I know it won't be fun.
I shuffled a little closer to Pearl, so our arms were almost touching. I reached for her hand and grabbed it, intertwining our fingers together.
We had reached the elevator by the time I did this.
Pearl looked at me and I looked down at her.
"Justin, what are you doing?!"
"Pearl, we're dating now. Boyfriends and girlfriends hold hands." Pearl rolled her eyes as she pressed the up button next to the elevator.
As we waited for the elevator, I brushed my thumb along her hand, a very nice, caring gesture.
The elevator finally opened, and Pearl and I walked in, still hand in hand.
I could tell this was annoying Pearl, and it obviously wasn't fun for me either, but this is just the beginning.
She'll succumb to my charm soon enough.
Before I knew it, the elevator stopped at our floor and we were at the hotel room.
