Justin
I groaned when I was awoken by some Hawaiian birds chirping outside my window.
I just want to sleep.
I tossed and turned, trying to get comfortable again, but I couldn’t. At least they stopped chirping. I placed my pillow over my head and groaned again when I heard them chirping again.
"Screw it." I muttered, rolling out of bed.
I took a quick shower and went over to my dresser, wondering what I should wear today. I put on a pair of swim trunks. Hopefully Pearl will be up to going to the beach today or something. I walked to the full length mirror hanging one of the pale white walls of my room. I blow dried my hair and played with it using my fingers until it was perfect.
I stepped out of my room and walked over to the kitchen, yawning loudly. I looked at the clock hanging on the kitchen wall. It was eleven o’clock. Too early.
I yawned again as I took out a bowl and some cereal. I ate it and cleaned up, wondering where Pearl was.
I started walking over to her room when I heard her voice, amused, call, "Justin! I'm here!" She was giggling.
Surprised, I jumped a little and turned around to see her lounging on one of the sofas in the main room.
"Oh. Didn't see you there." I chuckled, walking over to her.
She smiled and stood up. She had her Kindle in her hands. She placed it on the table next to her and walked closer to me.
"Should I go change?" She asked, gesturing to my attire.
I smiled. "Yes. I thought it'd be nice if we went to the beach today."
"For our second date?" She asked, twirling some of her hair in her fingers.
"Of course." She rolled her eyes and punched my arm playfully.
As she walked towards her room she repeated what I had said softly. I could hear the smile on her face.
Well, she seems to be in a good mood. That's good. I think she really is starting to like me more! I smiled at that thought.
I grabbed some sunscreen and a couple of towels.
After a minute or two of waiting, Pearl came out. She was wearing a strapless black bikini. I could see it through the sheer cover up she was wearing.
"You look really nice." I said. She really did. Her lean body is perfect. She isn’t all skin and bones; she has curves, but she isn’t overweight.
She raised an eyebrow before she smiled. "You look pretty nice, too."
She said, looking me up and down, biting her lower lip.
I smiled at that as she grabbed her room key and stuck it into her bag before she opened up the door.
We walked out and I placed my hand on the small of her back, leading her into the elevator.
I decided that now would be a good time to bring up what she had said to me last night. I’ve wanted to bring it up ever since last night.
"So, did you enjoy our first date last night?"
I asked her, almost one hundred percent sure what her answer we going to be.
She gave me a shy smile. "Yeah. It was really nice." She said, rubbing her arm.
"That's what I thought." I said, smiling. I couldn’t help myself.
"What do you mean?" She asked, her face contorting into one of confusion. I knew it! I knew she wouldn’t remember what we she said to me last night.
