Mrs Sheehan With a Side Order of Jealousy

Danny got up at dawn after a restless night of tossing and turning. His mind was constantly flitting between the heartbreak he felt after losing Lily and plots to murder Logan. He had a few pretty solid ideas already but he was just brushing up a few of them to make sure there was no possibility of him being caught out. To let out his anger, he decided to go for a run so he got dressed, grabbed his iPod and left the house. 

Lily and Logan had had their third date the night before and Logan stayed the night. This pissed Danny off more than he could take and he didn't even want to know what they had been doing. He heard giggling at around midnight but Whiskey solved that immediately. A short while down the road and Danny turned left, into a small park. His pace picked up as the song changed to a more upbeat one. The world was shut out and all that mattered was the music and the scenery flying past him. Suddenly the music turned off and Danny was on the ground with someone on top of him. Opening his eyes, he saw it was a woman - a very pretty woman - with her silky brown hair tied up in a bun on the top of her head. Her blue eyes snapped open and as she realised what has happened, her face  flushed scarlet. 

"Oh my gosh I am so sorry! My music was on and I wasn't looking," the girl apologised and covered her flaming cheeks.

"It's okay it was my fault too I was listening to music as well." Danny told her.

"Ok, well..." the girl trailed off out of breath. 

"Danny." He stuck his and out for her to shake.

"Pippa," she introduce herself and shook Danny's hand giving him a shy smile.

"Do you want to have breakfast or something? There is a great little café down the street there..." Dan trailed off and it was his turn to blush slightly as he pointed behind him in the opposite direction to where the café actually was. Pippa giggle slightly and nodded.

"Yeah sure. Lead the way!" She laughed and her face lit up. She is even more beautiful when she laughs. Danny thought as he led her to the café.

Lily waved goodbye to Logan who had stayed the night. They had had the most amazing- Suddenly the doorbell rang and Lily smiled at her thoughts. Opening the door again, a cheery Rhina was the person who greeted her. 

"Lilypop!" She squealed before hugging Lily. "Where are Danny and Mark?" Rhina asked before walking in and setting her bag down.

"Your husband is upstairs getting dressed and I have not seen Danny all morning. I think I heard the door shut at around 4am but he is not in the house." Lily informed her and Rhina gave a sharp nod. "Cup of tea?" 

"That would be perfect thanks." Rhina told her and the two girls went to the kitchen. With two steaming mugs of tea, they sat on the breakfast bar to chat. "So, Lily any men in your life? Anything going on with Danny perhaps?" Rhina prompted and smirked a little.

"I met this guy, Logan, in a café a few days ago. We have been on three dates and he is just so handsome and charming and he is such a gentleman! He is English too and all the time I spend with him is the most fun I have had in ages!" From Lily's description Logan seemed perfect to Rhina but she knew Mark wouldn't have phoned her to try and break them up. She also knew that Danny was much better for Lily than any man in the world. Even if they were dreamy Englishmen.

"He seems nice," Rhina said and took a sip of her scalding drink, smiling to keep her friend happy. "How long does Mark take?!"

"I'll call for him. BALDY! YOUR MISSUS IS HERE!" Lily shouted at the top of her voice. Rhina laughed at the name calling and Lily gave her a bright smile.

"Hey!" Came the annoyed response followed by the sound of feet on stairs. Mark appeared not a moment later with a scowl on his face. The frown disintegrated however when he saw his wife who he walked over  to and kissed her on the lips. 

"Ewwwwww! PDA! PDA!" Lily shouted childishly and squeezed her eyes shut. When she finally opened her eyes, two more people had arrived in the room. One was Danny but as Lily's eyes moved along, she saw a girl who had Danny's arm around her waist. Lily gritted her teeth, the girl was incredibly pretty with the perfect figure, blue eyes, silky brunette hair and high cheek bones. Danny looked incredibly happy and the girl looked way too comfortable with Dan's arm around her. "Danny!" Lily shouted and hugged him, breaking the two apart. 

"Careful there Lilypop," Dan said and laughed slightly. When Lily pulled away, she saw a look of discomfort on the other girl's face. "Mark, Rhina, Lily, I would like you to meet Pippa. We met this morning when I went out for a run. We crashed into each other and we went for breakfast together. Pippa, these are my friends." 

We?! Danny was already referring to himself and 'Pippa' as we?! Lily scowled at the thought before putting on the most forced, most fake smile she could to let Pippa know that she wasn't wanted here or anywhere near Danny. 

"It's wonderful to meet you Pippa! Simply marvellous indeed!" Lily told her before leaving the room. Danny was clocking Lily's response and saw her scowl before faking a smile and over-acting on the 'pleased to meet you'. He was about to go after her but Mark held him back and went instead.

Danny turned back to Rhina who gave him a 'what-do-you-think-you're-playing-at?' look before stalking out after her husband. Pippa looked uncomfortable and started to leave. "I think I may be interrupting something. You have my number so call me but I feel like I'm intruding."

"Yeah," Danny agreed. "I'm sorry about all of this and I'm sorry Lily was rude to you."

"No it's fine, I get it. She seemed a little bit jealous to me," she told Danny who looked surprised. 

"She's definitely not jealous she can't be," he shook his head in confusion.

"Oh it's obviously there Dan. Anyway I'm gonna go." Pippa said and left the house.

Lily turned to Mark, who had followed her into the hall, running to him as the tears started to fall.

"What's wrong Lily?" He asked and rubbed her back as she cried.

"I don't know! I'm just being silly really, crying over nothing." She wailed.

"It's obviously not nothing if it's making you cry so much." Mark pointed out and saw his wife come out of the kitchen as well.

"Lily, you love Danny don't you?" Rhina asked and Lily pulled away from Mark's arms, nodding slowly.

"Logan and Pippa are in the way though!" Lily whispered.

"Why don't you stop going out with Logan then?" Rhina asked.

"Because as much as I try Danny will never love me back! He loves beautiful models and pretty girls like Pippa." Lily sobbed. She suddenly swivelled around as she felt a warm hand on her back. Looking up, she saw Danny who looked incredibly concerned and confused as he had obviously heard the end part of the conversation.

"What's going on Lily? Why are you crying?" Lily flinched away at his question and ran away, upstairs and into her room. "Mark no! Let me go! What were you talking about?!" She heard Danny shouting from downstairs and she closed her eyes letting the sadness wash over her.
