I'm Yours *Under Reconstruction*

Lily woke up to the sound of Danny on the phone.

"Yes mam, of course I will. And yes she is. OK love you too, bye!" He cheerily spoke.

"Was that your mum?" She asked with her left eyebrow raised.

"Yep. She wants to see me today, I said we would go over in about an hour." He explained. Danny was already dressed in black skinny jeans, a white t-shirt and a leather jacket so Lily scrambled up to get to the bathroom. After a quick shower, she dried her long blond hair and went to her room to decide what to wear. After a while, she decided on matching Danny with black skinny jeans and of course, a white The Script T-shirt. Danny laughed when he saw her chosen outfit and picked up Lily's car keys.

"Hey! I don't think you can drive my car!" She ran after him, locking the door of her house.

"Why not?" He taunted, throwing the keys in the air and catching them.

"Because I don't want you to." She folded her arms and stamped her foot impatiently. "You might hurt my baby!"

"I paid for 1/2 of it!" Danny reminded her. This was true, they had bought a car together. It was a white  mini with the Irish flag on top of it. Lily had wanted to get a yellow one but Danny gave her a speech on patriotism and purchased the car. She loved it though and took great care of it, not letting anybody apart from her drive it. "So," Dan continued, "I have the right to drive it 1/2 the time." He concluded brightly and got in the car, switching the engine on. Lily huffed and got in too knowing she was on the lsoing side of the argument.

"Come on Lilypop! You know I'm right." Danny put an arm around her shoulders and they drove to Danny's mum's house.

10 minutes later and they reached the front door. Danny rang the doorbell and two seconds later, a cheery Ailish opened the door. She grabbed Dan by his jacket and pulled him in for a hug.

"Mum-can't-breathe" Danny choked out and Lily laughed. Ailish immediately let go of Danny and grabbed Lily instead. It was Danny's time to chuckle before the three of them went into the kitchen. Ailish grabbed 3 mugs from the cupboard and boiled the kettle, not even bothering to askif they wantedtea or not. She knew the answer would be yes.

"How is my handsome musician?" Ailish asked.

"I'm okay, I got back yesterday." Danny replied smiling brightly.

"How are Mark and Glen?" She asked.

"They are doing great. Mark is with his wife and kids at the minute but in a few days I think he is coming to stay with me and Lily."

Ailish then turned to Lily whilst Danny put 3 tea bags into a tea pot. "My son has been keeping you busy I see. You missed our weekly catch up yesterday."

"I am so sorry about that. I was running late to pick Danny up so I didn't have time to phone and cancel." Lily blushed a deep red and guilt was written all over her face.

"It's okay sweetie. All forgotten." Lily let out a sigh of relief at this before they both turned to Danny who was qiving them a questioning look.

"Weekly catch up?" He asked confused.

"Oh yes. Every week, Lily stops by with cakes or biscuits for 2 hours or so. She has been since your father died. We have a good chat and she keeps me up to date with her life and your music." Ailish explained. Danny looked over at Lily and his eyes softened as he mouthed thankyou.

A few hours later and Lily and Danny were standing on the door step.

"Come back soon Danny!" His mum called to him. "And Lily, don't forget next week!" She kissed Lily on the cheek before hugging her son and whispering in his ear. "Don't let her go Danny. She loves you and you love her. You both need to realise that and soon."

Danny was puzzling over this all the way to Lily's house but as soon as they arrived, all previous thoughts left as he noticed a black Land Rover in the driveway.
