I got to school super early, and I had to stay in the cafeteria until the bell rings. I made sure that the
hood covered my face, I didn't want anyone to see my face, and starts asking questions, It can be such
a pain. It happened to me once in freshman year, It was the morning after getting a couple of punches
from the evil beast. Granted I tried to cover my face with my hood, but I guess the hood was too small,
because someone actually noticed me. His name was Jason and I saw him a couple of times in Algebra.
He asked how I got the bruises, but I refused to answer him. He bugged me about it for so long that I
didn't think he was ever going to stop. He finally stopped, when he was sure that I wouldn't give him
any answers. I thought that he was really over it and decided to leave me alone, well, that was until I
got called to the principal's office .
My first time in the principal's office was horrifying. Mrs.Davis the principal, wouldn't stop questioning
me about how I got nasty bruises on my face.
"Ms. woods, I would like to have a private talk with you, alone", he proposed after the tenth question.
"yeah, sure" I replied halfheartedly. I wouldn't give her any answers. She told the secretary and Jason
the give us some space and they did.
"Ms woods, I would like to ask you a question, and I also would like for you to answer the question
truthfully", the way she said it was serious, almost scary and I saw that something in her eyes had
changed. It was no longer the eyes of a high school principal, it was now the eyes of how a detective
look, when interrogating someone.
I didn't know what to think, so I just nodded.
"Did you get those from your stepfather", the question was like a blow to my ears, I really wasn't
expecting that, I mean I was expecting for her to ask one of those questions that would persuade a
person to answer, questions like,"where were you on the night of this incident", something like that.
He couldn't know could he?
I shook my head, no. Answering her question with a complete lie.
"Then who did?"
"I already told you that I fell on my face", I can tell that he sees through my lies, by the way he was looking at me.
"Look there's no way I can help you, if you're not telling me the truth", she said.
"I don't remember ever asking for your help" I replied coldly.
"Well Ms Woods, as a principal of this school, It is part of my job to after my students and if an unusual it's my job to take the proper procedure. You need to tell me if something illegal is going home in your house"
"I already told you my bruises, did.not.come. from home"
"I refuse to believe those bruises formed from a fall, judging by the way the bruises look, I'd say they
are from a fist. You see Ms Woods, when a fist is connected to the body really hard, the outline of the
fist shows, and I can tell that they are new and they are the aftermath of really hard blow. You also
