I look up at the ceiling, it's been a week since I've talked to Lockser. Luckily, the people in school congratulated me for confessing so bravely but Lockser and I have been avoiding eye-contacts. Natsu had been bugging me to grow a pair and court her but he just doesn't know how awkward it is, and the idiot hasn't even told Lucy that he likes her.
I hear a knock on the door and before I could say anything, mum enters the room.
"Gray, is everything okay?" She asks with concern, she still hasn't forgiven me because the last time I yelled and disrespected her but I guess she has to be a mother and confront me, "Tell me everything that's troubling you."
I toss myself to face the wall, avoiding her worried look.
"Gray, does this involve Juvia?" She asks as I feel her sitting on the edge of my bed, "She doesn't come to sessions anymore and the school called saying your grades dropped? What is happening? I know Juvia was a bad influence-"
"Shut up, mum," I say in a weak voice, I don't have the energy to yell and have a fight. I'm over Lockser, I don't like her anymore and it's just so tiring to think how much of an idiot I am and how hurt I am.
"Gray, tell me," she says softly to my surprise, "What happened?"
"Lockser happened," I stupidly admit, "She's so stupid, so naiive and so insensitive. She only thinks about herself and she doesn't care about my feelings. She's a big damn fucking liar." To my surprise, my mother didn't bother me saying a swear word. She rubs my back for me to continue, "She even told me she would wait for me, she even promised to say yes. She... Lied."
"Oh Gray," mum says giving me comforting pat.
"She's a damn..." I swallow back, ready to burst out like a kid, "Liar."
And with that last word, the emotions and the hurt I've been trying to hide bursts out in me.
~~~
"Hey Gray," Lucy says checking out my face, "Have you been crying?" I shook my head, but she rolls her eyes and pulls me in for a hug.
It was really comforting until someone ripped Lucy off of me. I see Natsu with fire in his eyes.
"Don't hug Lucy," Natsu says while coldly glaring at me.
"Natsu, I hugged him," Lucy interrupted, "He must've been crying," she turns to me, "You must've been hurt so much! It's not like she's the only girl!" She laughs light-heartedly.
"For me, she is," I mutter to myeslf answering her question.
"Pardon?"
"Nothing," I reply.
"Just don't hug any man, Lucy," Natsu snaps, "You don't know their intentions."
"You've never even hugged me," Lucy mutters angrily.
"What?" Natsu asks.
"Nothing, just leave me alone, okay?!" Lucy yells as she storms off.
"Wait- Hey! What's with you today?" Natsu yells after her, also storming off.
What. The. Hell?
Here I am, sad and heart-broken. Dancing to the rythm of loneliness. Natsu and Lucy adding up more drama in my life. I don't need this crap right now.
~~~
The last bell rings and I head to the rooftop, a fresh air would be nice. I notice how the door is a bit open.
I sigh, caretakers should lock this, students aren't allowed on the rooftop. A brief memory suddenly washes over me, Lockser was unlocking the door with a hairpin.
No! I can't be thinking of her right now. Get you butt together Fullbuster!
I open the door and slams it close. I suddenly see a blue hair.
CRAP.
Biggest mistake of my life. Well actually it's the second biggest because the first biggest mistake was confessing to Lockser.
The girl quickly turns around and everyone knows who she is. Even you do.
Lockser stands there, leaning against the railings. The view is just so perfecy: She's standing there as the wind blows her hair.
She looks at me with a shocked expression. I look at her surprised too.
The first eye-contact in weeks.
Is it so perverted if I tell you the first thing I wanted to do is kiss her? Luckily, I controlled myself. I couldn't control it though when all the blood rushed down to my manhood.
Really? REALLY?
You think that this is a good time to get an erection?!
"You idiot, you locked the door," she softly says, but she doesn't sound disappointed though.
"Uh, sorry, I didn't mean to," I say.
"And your thing," she mutters and I look up to see her blushing for the first time ever, "It's standing up."
This is gonna be long and awkward!
