Chapter 1

Emma rose was a calm , quiet girl . But lately Emma's world seemed to be turning upside down . Emma's mother was a writer ,often having to travel .but this time she never came back .
Emma was forced to move in with her grandmother in the city . Her grandmothers small apartment has only two rooms. One was Emma's bedroom . She had moved in her pink bed and her little desk . But it wasn't home. Home has a fireplace. Home had her friends Nancy and cole.

Emma put up her Taylor swift posters . Grandmother had said
"It's what you make of it "

So Emma tried to stay positive. Emma's friends went to a different school. She would still try to visit them.

Emma awoke to a sunny sky. She jumped out of bed and put on a white dress. She carefully brushed out her blonde curls.

Emma decided it would be a nice day to explore .
She grabbed her coat and was out the door. She saw a little bakery on the corner named lissies

"Yum" it smelled delicious. Emma decided she would get breakfest. An assortment of cakes and breads surrounded her. It reminded her of cole. He loved sweets. Sometimes he would bake cookies when she was having a bad day. But that was the past. Emma needed to focus on the present .
