Chapter 7

What is planned will change trust me - me (Bella )

It was early December and the news called for snow. Which Emma was okay with. It meant less school

" there will be a assignment due after winter break " the teacher said
But no one was paying attention
To be honest nobody ever did.
Civics is very boring
Anyway

Emma was at her row of desks tucked in the back corner next to André , kannai and Lucy

Emma was making Christmas cards for all her class mates .
She already has 24 done when the teachure came over to her desk .
" your grandma wants o talk to you. She is in the front office with big news "

Emma shivered when she heard the words big news. Big news is usually pretty bad like a divorce or somebody died or your gonna get a new sister
Emma hurried into the front office
To meet grandmother

" hello. I know your school but I was so excited I couldn't wait. "- grandmother said

" ummmm okay ...." Emma muttered

" okay. So I have adopted an orphan that I meet last week feeding the homeless. Of course she will live with us and I thought you might want a sister "

Emma just stood there not knowing if she should pretend to be happy or just tell grandmother what she. Really thought .
Having this "new " sister meant sharing a room , and taking care of this girl.
Emma did not like that

" I'm going back to class now " Emma said and ran out the door to civics

Where she continued not to pay attention and add candy to all her Christmas cards.

After school however was quite rough

" meet Sophie Clair " grandmother said pointing to a small girl with dark eyes and brown hair. She looked very gloomy .

Emma showed this strange girl her room where she moved over some stuff drew a line with tape in the middle of the floor.
" this is my side.  Don't touch my tv , my bed , my stuffed animal collection or my desk.  "

All that Sophie Clair had on her side was a lousy old bed , a small desk and a dusty window.  The walls on that side , Emma never bothered to paint . So it was very dark and gloomy

That night ,
Sophie Clair and Emma were getting ready for bed. Each girl was brushing out there knotted hair and washing there face .
"Can I borrow pjs"- Sophie asked

"Yeah whatever" Emma replied pulling out a nightgown with unicorns
" I got this for Christmas last year and it's not my style. You can keep it "

As the girls crawled into bed , they each grabbed a book from there nightstands
" jinx " the girls laughed in unison

Maybe this isn't so bad , it's like having a room mate - Emma thought

It was 10am on Saturday morning
Emma awoke to Sophie Clair's alarm on her phone
" why oh why can't I sleep in " Emma cried throwing a pillow at Sophie's bed .

After complaining Emma pulled out an easy outfit and hopped into the shower .
Sophie Clair was rummaging threw her tiny luggage .
"I'm sure em won't mind if I borrow this sweater. I forgot to pack one "

Then Sophie Clair put on Emma's sweater and went to brush her teeth .

" what are you wearing " Emma yelled

" I'm sorry I really don't have any clothes. " Sophie cried and went upstairs to the kitchen/grandmothers bedroom

Emma just continued her daily routine with brushing her hair and brushing her teeth .

After a little while Emma went upstairs .
Grandmother pulled Emma aside
" Emma Rose I know this is hard for you but you have to understand your her only friend in this world. She dosnt have very much.  Just let her borrow some things "

" I have a better idea"
Emma ran downstairs and grabbed her piggy bank . It held 82 dollars from her birthday.

" here. We can use this at the mall to get you more clothes " Emma handed over her money

" wow thank you " Sophie Clair said hugging Emma

After breakfest grandmother took the girls to the mall .
They went to justice , hot topic , Aeropostale and target
Now Sophie Clair has two new sweaters ,1 pink sweatshirt , some jeans and leggings and a pair of boots.
